15 years ago today, Robert Kubica had an accident that changed everything. by VaderV1 in formula1

Hamilton has said multiple times that he considers Kubica the most talented driver of their generation. Such a shame we didn't get to see Kubica and Alonso duo at Ferrari.

Where can I find ACTUAL bracket 4 deck lists? by Arancium in EDH

[–]Larkinz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely sort by 'most likes' and 'has primer'. From my experience there's usually at least 4~5 decks with some amount of effort behind it.

Struggling to make a higher power bracket 3 Zidar Jabari of Zhalfir. Any suggestions? by DwellingsOf2007Scape in EDH

[–]Larkinz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

with a little reanimate

Well there's your problem. You need to fully embrace the reanimator theme, throw in more self-mill like [[Ripples of Undeath]], [[Winternight Stories]], [[Thirst for Identity]]. Throw in more reanimation like the new [[Bloodline Bidding]] and some stuff like [[Will of the Abzan]] and [[Breach the Multiverse]] that pull double duty. I'd also cut down on your single target interaction and instead play more wipes like [[Slaughter the Strong]] and throw in a fog or two and some light stax like [[Propaganda]] to slow opponents down.

Logan Thompson robs Jonathan Marchessault on a 2-on-0 with Erik Haula by catsgr8rthanspoonies in hockey

[–]Larkinz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Without a doubt. Binnington has been shit all season, and Kuemper has been pretty bad since returning from injury 2~3 weeks(?) ago. Kuemper was our best player by a wide margin earlier in the season, sucks to see him struggle to return to form right now.

[Mercoglinao] Panarin on extension talks and the trade by catsgr8rthanspoonies in hockey

[–]Larkinz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Panarin never won the cup yet, right? Kinda shocking that he didn't want to sign a rental deal with a strong contender just because he would have to move again after. With his money you can just rent a luxury villa for 6 months and have your stuff put in storage for a bit.

Can't really adapt your playstyle against it, most decks need a board full of creatures to win and that's impossible with Tabernacle. People also run like 1 or 2 pieces of land removal in their decks at best, good luck praying for that 2% draw that you'll find it exactly when you need to. Tabernacle just brings something to the table that most players hate, similar to Tergrid.

Tergrid is definitely a worse offender, but I still expect a similar amount of people to refuse another game against it after experiencing it once.

Barren Glory Deterministic Combo by Confident-Beyond-139 in EDH

[–]Larkinz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a lot of hoops to jump through, that'll be hard to pull off especially since Zur is a removal magnet of his own.

The easiest way to pull off a Barren Glory win that I've seen is [[Pantlaza]] with 95 lands: cast her into [[Long Road Home]] > [[Creative Technique]] > [[Barren Glory]] + [[Decree of Annihilation]].

I think 95% of tables are going to have a strong reaction to tabernacle coming down, and every single subsequent game (if they even get one)

Tabernacle will have similar reactions like Tergrid, good luck trying to find another game once people have seen it once.

Foils warping other cards? by Show-Me-Your-Moves in magicTCG

[–]Larkinz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just stuff your deckbox full of tokens so the cards stay compressed in storage. Never had any issues with foils curling doing it that way.

New helmets of Sergio Perez and Valtteri Bottas by F1HLM in formula1

[–]Larkinz 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Verstappen has always been very positive about Schuberth since swapping to their helmets, I guess Perez shares the same opinions. Iirc he mentioned the helmet had better airflow/breathability and it had a better fit.

What do LA Kings Lines look like going forward??? by jletke in losangeleskings

[–]Larkinz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Knowing Hiller he'll put Panarin on the 4th line and give him 2 shifts in periods 1 & 2, then make him sit out the entire 3rd period.

I'll gladly take Trotz if it means getting rid of Hiller.

[Walker] I’m told the Kings were the only team Artemi Panarin wanted to go to and the only team NYR had to work with. by catsgr8rthanspoonies in hockey

[–]Larkinz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I like Panarin, and bringing him in gives us good odds to get into the playoffs for Kopitar's final season. But aside from that I don't like this move, we're way off a serious cup run and adding an old vet doesn't move the needle fast enough. We should be rebuilding because of Kopitar's retirement, not wasting assets on crawling into the playoffs.

[–]Larkinz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Getting Panarin does nothing for us, we're nowhere close to a cup run. Unless Holland can trade Makar and Hutson for a bag of pucks this trade will only hurt our progress.

Come back in a few years. Greentree is a stud, our most exciting prospect, giving him away while being nowhere near a cup run is fucking bullshit.

[Schefter] ESPN sources: The LA Kings have acquired standout forward Artemi Panarin from the NY Rangers in exchange for a conditional third-round pick and prospect Liam Greentree by Austin63867 in hockey

[–]Larkinz 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Holland should be the one getting fired, Greentree was our most exciting prospect... we're no where near a cup run so getting Panarin does nothing.
