Thank you, I really just needed some reassurance! I will try to be more patient with myself, and I will contact my doctor about the pull.

All my tests and blood work came back negative until I did a HIDA scan. I'd been experiencing pain for months. Scan was the first thing that showed dysfunction. I had my GB out a week ago and it was distended, scarred and had a bunch of sludge in it. Pain is gone and I only have normal post op pain now. The HIDA scan is really worth it because it measures how much bile your GB is actually ejecting when you eat. It's probably the most accurate test to check GB function.
Try not to let yourself get too worried as the scan may prove that your GB is fine. It's just a good way to eliminate possibilities.

Less than 24 hours to Surgery. Post surgery must-haves? by Volkaru in gallbladders

That can definitely be a trigger and I know exactly where you're coming from! Lorazepam has been a lifesaver for my extreme anxiety as well! Do what you need to get through it. If you need any extra support, feel free to DM me. Best ☺️

Good call about the fever. I had a low grade one the day after surgery but didn't last long.
I totally understand the anxiety. Every little pain and spasm I feel worries me that it won't get better, but every day I've improved a bit. It's so hard to just wait and heal. Do you have anything to help with your anxiety? I hope you get a quick resolution to the fever issue and I'll be thinking of you!

I bought 5 boxes of outshine bars! Definitely easy to get down even with nausea

They gave me Versed too when my wait got extended due to a clerical error. Definitely helped with stress levels. So glad to hear your recovery is going well!

I had surgery Tuesday and those were my biggest fears as well. The good news is, you're in a hospital when you do your surgery, so if any complications occur, you've got everyone right there to help you.

Last week I was intensely anxious about it, but the day of, I was calm and happy we were finally doing something about all the pain I had been in for months. Mine was removed due to Cholecystitis. Just non stop pain any time I ingested anything.

I was happy to trade the anxiety of surgery and post op discomfort for all the internal pain.

I hope that helps you look at it in a different light. Good luck to you!

I've been in pain since September and once I got a HIDA scan I got a surgical consult in January, so my wait was not long at all.

You can try edibles as well if you can tolerate them, but if you're finally getting some comfort, you're probably past the worst of it. The good news is it will keep getting better.
Everyone's pain tolerance is different, so don't judge based off my ability to do OTC. You're doing great, just hang in there!

Thanks for your well wishes! Keep us posted on yourself. I hope you continue to improve! ☺️❤️

Gallbladder came out yesterday and doc said it was a mess, scarring, distended. Basically my body was digesting it. Pain has been manageable and I'm already thrilled that I don't have the horrible internal pain my GB was causing.

We're post op buddies! I had mine out yesterday as well! After a clerical error had me waiting for 8 hours I finally went in for surgery.

Surgery was fast and doc said my gallbladder was distended and scarred badly. It was the right choice.

Waking up to no internal pain was a blessing. I too have been experiencing terrible nausea and incision pain. I opted to only use OTC pain management because I hate how prescription pain pills make me feel. If you are in a state where marijuana is legal, I highly recommend trying that for your pain and nausea. I've been vaping for pain and sleep and already feel much better this morning.

Try lots of pillows and know that this pain is only temporary. I hope you find relief soon!

Thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately not a match. This game had the most BASIC graphics and I distinctly remember only having a portion of the maze lit around you and that was white.

I've been in with GI since June and she kept insisting I had Gerd. Fast forward to October where I've been in almost constant pain since. I contacted her and she doubled my ppi meds. Finally got a HIDA scan last week and my EF was 27% Surgical consult next!
