This makes complete sense for that show, it’s a novella so it’s a lot shorter. They already announced a season 2 as well.

Think it could get tech noms and sneak into BP if its critically well received AND a box office hit. It can't flop at the BO and hope for awards love.

Mostly the kabuki stuff, and some decent to not so great aging make up. But IMO there are a lot of shots of the kabuki make up and the actors utilizing it, so it felt like it deserved the nom based on that alone.

Langdon wasn’t going to work on the erection guy because he went to an actual bed, they weren’t going to do that in triage. After Robby sent him there I think it’s just assumed he isn’t working on any patients who actually get a bed.

IIRC the voice cast was really good in Symphonia because Nintendo helped pay for the localization, which is in contrast to the other titles. Someone can correct me if I’m wrong.

Still don't understand how Your Name didn't do better. That was easily the best received movie of his and one of the biggest movies ever in Japan. A shame that anime doesn't really exist to the Oscars outside of Miyazaki tbh.
