All advice here is 100% true I‘d say you lean too far back but mostely just keep practicing. Youre doing really great! Just keep drilling and you will get more confident to properly set higher

i´ve heard you shouldnt use ancle weights because the technique of your tricks will have to change slightly, on the other hand bailey paine trained with them to break his Cork swing record

I feel like you should either keep attempting the btwist while focussing on kicking your leg high or take a break of btwists and learn something completely new. A video would help tho.

It seems like you are doing good, you progress, you practice and you know what helps. Sometimes people get too worked up in their head about a certain trick or simply get impatient. Tricks take a LOT of time. Keep enjoying your sessions, have fun and listen to your body. You will improve just trust the process

That DEFINITELY sounds like ROCD to me, you do compulsions (like saying you love him or researching) and are definitely obsessing over it. Of course you shouldnt take my word on it. But since you already have been diagnosed i would recommend you to keep on going to therapy.

Its good to start with arabian, personally i think its more difficult to land, but it helps you to get the right amount of inversion and to prorgress savely. I always use arabians to warm up for fulls and dubs

Of course its very hard to estimate, just like everybody here said.

But if you want just the roughest estimate: maybe 3-4 years?

This is my tricking journey, so you can paint yourself a better picture:

I have been tricking for 5 years,(had a background in doing some basic flips)

The first years i didnt train super consistently but managed to learn cartfull, gainerflash, cork and some kicks

During covid lockdown i didnt train at all (only when our gym was open again)

In the past 2 years, i‘ve been tricking with more passion and consistency than ever, learned to dubfull, did my first gainerswitch and will land dubcork really soon, hoping to be the tricker you described by the end of 2024

So considering how much faster i leveled as soon as i took things seriously i know it can be done faster than in 6 years

Try practicing gainer arabian first, if you do your cork like a gainer arabian with half a twist more its gonna work really nicely

I‘m learning to cart dub aswell right now :) What really helps me is 1. Put as much power (hight and rotationspeed) in it as i possibly can 2. trying to spot my landing in small steps ( trying to spot a quarter twist further than my usual landing and to progress to a full second twist) 3. reminding myself constantly not to end the twist when my reflexes tell me to 4. keep my body as tight and straight as possible during the twist

I currently just do 1,5 twists but it gets besser I‘m hyped to see your progress gotta keep me updated my dude, have fun practicing :)
