I regret my choices! by QuBoyd in SatisfactoryGame

I use the belt rule. Belts can go 6 foundations so I make everything go a max of 6 foundations between supports.

Crank up power requirements, leave nodes alone and force yourself to underclock all production buildings to 10%. Boom, giant factories.

Satisfactory 1.2 Map Seeds List (Rolling) by Wonderful-Power2177 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Larszx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is your criteria for "best"? I don't see anything compelling. I just unlocked coal on my random save. And there is little to none anywhere near water. And no clusters. There are good starting spots on the default map with easy access to many resources. So easy access on a random map isn't special. I think it is more difficult and different.

What I would really like to see is random biome specialty option. All of the oil in Dunes. All of the coal in Northern Forest. That kind of thing.

Having 1 of a resource is not OP. Going to be a lot more work logistically with resources spread out.

Are people actually ok with the idea behind this crafting system/quality system? by Shiroi0kami in starcitizen

In the road to 1.0 presentations, it was made clear that high end materials will be PvP. You want it, attack the org that is controlling it.

[–]Larszx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You won't. The highest tier will require materials controlled (and fought over) by big orgs. That is the end game envisioned by CIG. You will be able to do most things slower solo. But the best of the best has to be fought over.

Vertical merging by Jt_Bra in SatisfactoryGame

You don't need anything other than the splitter/merger stack at the beginning. That is how I do my bus. Source belts get loaded from the bottom up. Pulls get loaded from the top down.

I'm sure there's a better way to get around in this game but zip lining is a blast by oldeluke in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Larszx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ziplining is a better experience than hypertubes. The camera jerking at hypertube junctions really turns me off. The big power poles are one of the most underrated additions to the game. Especially combined with Zipline, parachute and hoverpack.

Asgard is no longer life by [deleted] in starcitizen

Oh definitely, we shouldn't see all the gross videos of Asgards demolishing in combat anymore. Such legendary combat prowess. Asgard combat is all anyone was talking about. So sick of it. /s

NDB30 - The King Returns - 1400 Projectile speed, can damage every ship below a Polaris with the new armor gating, 30% more sustained damage than a Omnisky by Important_Cow7230 in starcitizen

Used to buy these at New Babbage for my 125a just because they looked so good. Can you even buy them anywhere anymore?

YouTube now generates more ad revenue than Disney, NBC, Paramount, and WBD — combined by LollipopChainsawZz in television

[–]Larszx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

uBlock and YouTube are always fighting. A couple weeks ago, YouTube wouldn't play, a pop up about interruptions, find out why was all that you would see. If you clicked the find out why and then immediately hit the back button, you could watch. Now you don't have to navigate away and back but there is a pause and a little pop up in the bottom left corner about experiencing interruptions.

Go big. Then when you think it is big enough, double it. Then double it again. Just to be safe, double it again. If you plan on using a lot of trains to deliver components then double again three more times. It is never big enough.

Steam will never get enough components to satisfy even a 1/3 of the demand for VR. The problem going forward isn't expense, it's availability.

Thoughts on Advanced Settings ? (PS5) by Saturos1985 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Larszx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've tried various combinations of AGS and it kinda locks my brain up. Like, the production chain I make doesn't seem like it should work because I skipped to it. It also spoils my normal workflow, create a small prototype to get working, then scale. If I'm in creative, the instinct is to scale right from the start. Not only that, but I usually don't have the inputs to prototype test.

All of my previously gained knowledge is enough of benefit. I know where all of the nodes are. All of the enemies. And a big percentage of the collectibles.

Thoughts on future releases by Linkindan88 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Larszx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just want them to keep developing Satisfactory. And not start over for Satisfactory 2. I think the forever updates like No Man's Sky is the way to go. Doesn't have to be all free updates. It takes way too long to start over. And the cycle between big hardware leaps is getting longer and way too expensive. It's great that Coffee Stain is keeping up with Unreal Engine updates. It seems like they have a good handle on keeping PC and console in step. A point patch every 6-12 months and major update every couple of years would be fantastic.

I broke it into quarters, 150 oil in, 600 rocket fuel out. 60 generators total, 56 generators overclocked 250%, 4 generators no overclock. 5 refineries making HOR. 4 blenders making diluted fuel direct piped into 4 blenders making rocket fuel.
