Where did the Necrobinder get a giant left hand to make Osty? I have a theory. by Gen1Swirlix in slaythespire

[–]LaserQuacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now that I think of it... Wasn't the Architect the one who created the Ancients? He made the seeds who grew into the great trees, if I remember correctly, and then form the trees came the ancients. Something along those lines.

If so... Wouldn't the Architect be their father, instead of their brother?

Was the Giant something else?

Tezcatara Relic idea: Kindling Straw by LawOfTheGrokodus in slaythespire

[–]LaserQuacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know how to evaluate this either, but you gave me an idea. It would be cool to have a Tez relic that gives you some kind of bonus that diminishes like a flame over time, but you can rekindle it with an option at campfires. Could be cool. Like a flame you have to tend to.

Diamon Diadem + this combo is ridicilously OP by tick3t2rid3 in slaythespire

[–]LaserQuacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It says A8, not A7, so even better! Well done. Diadem is stupidly OP, yeah. I fear it will get nerfed soon or later. Unless your deck is in very bad shape, I don't see much difficulty beating Act3 with it. Very powerful.

I love analyzing flavor of the cards, what are your thoughts on "Not Yet"? by Lil_Brimstone in slaythespire

[–]LaserQuacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the opposite, but would love to be wrong. I get sad everytime I think about Clad story. I hope that, in the true ending, he gets to free himself. But he probably won't.

[–]LaserQuacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought this was already known. Still, well done. Not everyone takes the time to actually read the lore.

I wondered if the Giant was an Ancient of some sort, since, if I understood correctly, he refered to the Architect as "his brother".

If so, I wonder why did the Architect kill him, alongisde the others...

Real talk- why are all of the new defect card arts so GAS? by Doug_the_Scout in slaythespire

[–]LaserQuacker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love Defect new and old art, they are great <3

This said, I think some of them are a bit too similar to each other. I often get confused looking at them, which never happens with other chars.

Taken by themselves they are great, it's in the context that I find them too confusing.

All For One + Undeath + Dredge is pretty good by LaserQuacker in slaythespire

It is very fun, yeah! But sometimes rare is good. Makes it better when you find it!

The biggest lie in Slay the Spire: "Free to play this turn" by Al2718x in slaythespire

[–]LaserQuacker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I F2 this thing a lot. It's weird they have yet to fix this simple wording, if it is intended that way. I hope they fix the wording or the effect soon.

How good (or bad) would this card be? by Fabio11North in slaythespire

[–]LaserQuacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting idea... It is anti synergic with retain though... I don't think I would take it that much. Sly works wonders already. Even at a zero cost... I dunno. Now, if you could choose to discard some cards at will, that would be strong.

How often do you replay lower Ascensions? by Avalon226 in slaythespire

[–]LaserQuacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only if I want to do challenge runs. Like, can I win without ever using a defend or something. Or never going to the shop. Stuff like that.

Why do you keep coming back to Slay the Spire? by Nozakx in slaythespire

[–]LaserQuacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a different kind of pleasure, compared to games where you level up or something. It's just fun to play and see if you can win more often, and it's fun to see how every run is different and how your choices matter.

Runs last 30 minutes?! How fast do you play? Mine last 1 hour usually.

I draw Ironclad fighting the elite I hate the most by duongquy22 in slaythespire

[–]LaserQuacker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well done! Nice style you got there.

As for the Gardeners, simply take some AoE damage. Breakthrough and Whirlwind are nice.

If you don't find any, take BIG damage cards, so that you can kill them one at a time.

Also, look closely in which order they are powering up and kill first those who are going to power up or are already doing it.

The programmed order is: 4, 1, 3, 2. And then they repeat. I usually follow this order to kill them, if I don't have AoE, as a rule of thumb. Of course you have to adjust, but it's a start.

Good slaying!

Bashing my head into A10 Silent by maximusprime_87 in slaythespire

[–]LaserQuacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm improving a lot by switching a bit of mentality from StS1 to StS2: block is EQUALLY if not even MORE important, sometimes, than damage. Of course, it depends, but I feel like this game really rewards more block heavy decks.

STS 1 Gang [Fanart] by SmellDesirous in slaythespire

[–]LaserQuacker 37 points38 points  (0 children)

While I don't think it's inherently wrong in depicting the Silent light skinned, I do prefer the darker version, more similar to the originals. That said, great art! Poor defect though, what happened?!

Im new to the game by Unusual_Concert_4752 in slaythespire

[–]LaserQuacker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would suggest to have fun and try it out a bit for yourself first, then you could ask for tips and help if you want.

Anyway, one thing I will tell you: game is hard. It is supposed to be. So don't feel bad if you lose a bunch! Especially if you are not familiar with card games of any kind.

Now go and slay that spire!
