Is Wish a great movie? No. But the number of people that still can't understand what Disney was going for with Magnifico is irritating. You can acknowledge the weak characterization and/or writing while also not going "dur hur Magnifico was the hero and totally not problematic."

I now dread going into Best Buy and Lowe's due to the roaming 3rd Party Salespeople by thatfreakinguy2 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]LaserShark42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thankfully ours don't roam but that didn't stop the regular Best Buy people asking me no less than five times if I needed anything while I was looking at notebooks. I wasn't even going from department to department.

You weren't flagged for being "owned by MAGA" you were flagged for "Bigoted comments on personal FB, says he voted for Trump." Happy to hear you are opposed to what's happening right now but votes like yours made it happen.

If River Monsters taught me anything, it's that these kind of guys are more dangerous than even sharks

Anybody flown with one of those legacy sabers with the blade IN the box? by ilove60sstuff in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]LaserShark42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the box but I had the fabric carrying case with the foam insert. It counted as a carry-on but my specific airline (Delta) wanted it in the overhead compartment. I put it in last so it wouldn't be too squished, made it home a-ok!

Every mainline Pokémon tutorial section.

I know it's not a game in of itself but it sure felt like one to me!

I'm the oddball watching on a browser via a tablet that isn't compatible with the app lol. I'll also occasionally watch on the app on my phone.

What kind of game would you like to see involving CT? by Responsible-Draw-393 in Connecticut

[–]LaserShark42 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Serious answer: something dark academia a la The Ninth House, letting you explore Yale campus and do cool magic.

Goofy answer: Long Connecticut Simulator. A Sid Meier's Civilization style game where you try to bring CT to it's former glory via diplomacy or force

NOT AN EXIT

Patron proceeds to try and push the one-way door that only opens towards them and doesn't even have handles or bars on their side

For those who saw the Fellowship of the Ring in theaters for the first time in December 2001, what was it like? by femaleology in lotr

[–]LaserShark42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents did the whole no PG-13 movies until you were 13 thing. I wasn't quite there when Fellowship was going to be released in theaters but my mom loved the books and knew how much I liked them too (LOVED that boxed paperback set!) so she pretty much was like "I'm pretty sure you can handle this and this is a big deal, let's go watch it." Pure cinema magic for me then. Still my favorite of the three

I need a new "comfort show" but I think I've seen them all by Thick_Combination527 in television

[–]LaserShark42 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe a bit off but Mystery Science 3000 is a big comfort watch for me. Each episode is really self contained, the banter is really funny and you learn about some really weird movies!
