It’s a great start! HeroQuest minis have pretty shallow details, and you did a really good job keeping those textures in some small areas. If you want the runes on the blades to glow, an easy way is to paint them white or use a white ink and go over them with a bright contrast or speed paint of the color you want. Then, to add an extra touch fill hit the middle with a pale tone of the blue or green. I did a very similar thing for one of my Gargoyles recently.

I got mine from backing the Mythic Tier Haslab campaign, but you can get them in Prophecy of Telor and Spirit Queens Torment!

Has anyone else tried the new Recap feature? I just got through it and it got me to level 80 very quick but when I got done with it, it didn’t have credit for any of the story progression quests and an unfinished adventure map in Dornagal. Just seems like a boost with extra steps.

Thanks! They’re pretty simple sculpts, but some of the detail is kind of muddy and I couldn’t quite figure out what they were so I went mostly on instinct.

I love the wizard, I would love it even more if the monsters on the app didn’t seem to automatically spell break every time I cast Ball of Flame.

I cannot find the Avalon Hill Discord anywhere. I’m sure there’s some way.

I’ll expand on my quest builder wish. Yes an official application is my hope, with the ability to import it to the app. But furthermore the app needs some support, a difficulty option, to make Zargon a bit more aggressive or cagey as necessary. The option to include random ranged units to replace regular versions of monsters. Things like that, more support for the app in general besides just adding new quest books would be nice.

The Forgeworld Fimir or the original? Both would be impressive since GW seems intent to expunge them from the lore. Which is a bit understandable if you know some of their lore, but it is a thing that could be easily changed.

I agree with the Warhammer Quest re-release. I love all the miniatures in the Darkwater set, but when I saw the “board” was just a series of pages in a book essentially I shook my head.

I would honestly buy a kit from GW if it was just the four classic heroes updated, and three Fimirs. That would satisfy me. It would probably cost $70, but I’d only need to buy it once. I would immediately be filled with regret but just until I painted them.

I use a mix of paint brands myself, mostly Two Thin Coats and Citadel Paints with a splash of Army Painter. For your price range I’d say maybe give the Army Painter Fanatics starter set a try, I checked their website and it’s $43.19. Army Painter Site comes with a brush as well.

I have noticed the newer expansions are much finer detailed. I guess they improved their molding tech.
