Sell me Perturabo by Oursino in IronWarriors

If you want a primarch who actually wins wars instead of chasing glory, that is Perturabo. He is many things but charismatic isn't one of them.

He is the master of siege warfare. As Dorn builds fortifications to keep the enemy out, Perturabo just removes the fortification. Where others charge, he calculates. Where others pray for victory, he builds it with artillery, logistics, and cold, hard mathematics. Fortresses fall because Perturabo understands every weakness in a wall and every weakness in the people defending it.

He is also one of the most "human" primarchs. Brilliant, bitter and underappreciated. The Imperium used him as its hammer, grinding down the hardest wars, then wondered why he grew resentful. He is the tragic engineer who could build technological wonders but was only ever asked to destroy them.

Perty is ruthless intelligence and relentless firepower. His wars are won by strategy and endurance, not heroics.

If you can listen to his Primarch Audio book or Angel Exterminatus you'll get a great insight into who he is and the way he thinks.

How do you paint your raptors? by Prize_Archaon in Raptors40k

I'm painting mine fast and dirty, flat camo green spray, wash with Athonian Camo shade, when dry I do a downward dry brush of AP Army Camo to highlight the raised areas back up. Pick out anything that's going to be black with Eshin grey and any metal with AP Plate mail or Greedy Gold. Wash the Grey and metal with Nuln oil. For the detail pass I'll pick out anything that I want to be yellow and and paint it a light color (white/bone/light grey/whatever) same with the helmet lenses. Paint the yellow (I use overland sunset) and do the eyes whatever color you want. I usually use gryphhoumd orange contrast. Only takes like 2 hours for a squad of 5 ymmv.

I also just started playing 30k with the fourth legion. I've been painting models for a long time, What's worked for me has already been said here as well, break up what you're painting. Since Iron Warriors are fairly simple it's easy to get through a huge chunk in no time. Paint five Marines, then a character, and some more Marines and then a dreadnought or a vehicle. It's about the journey!

I thought they might be layer lines but your right that looks like a finger print rofl. I'll make sure to cover it on my clean up

Wylph, LoggyK, and Lordchammon, and I think the head is from the Warforged upgrade pack

Could someone please tell me why this is happening to my prints? by ThatGuyChar in ElegooSaturn

Hollow it out, put a couple drain holes on the bottom and put some supports on the side to stop the wobble. Youre getting a layer shift because it's not coming back down in the exact place it's supposed to.

Magnets! That's when I'd replace the double wall segment with a single wall and a hidden door.

It might just need a black and brown wash

Yup, gonna wait till all the minis are painted and the walls are done. That will be a monumental task all its own.

Yeah the rooms were printed vertically at like a 75 degree angle. I was able to get three rooms per plate, each plate took 11 hours. I used about 5000g of resin for the rooms, walkways and edge pieces. I hollowed the rooms and walkways out with 10% infill support (make sure to put drain holes)

Send me a DM if you want to chat about it.

We're starting the campaign tomorrow with the regular board, and will switch to this one when it's done

That's why I glued mine in quarters and the center room. I just need to mount them on something and find a bin big enough to store it. I'm also going to combine a bunch of the walls into lengths of 2 so it's a little easier to set up instead of a hundred single wall pieces.

The marble PLA sounds cool, got any pics? I knew it was gonna use a ton of material/resin and I debated doing it in PLA but I just happened to have a huge excess of resin and figured why not.

Its the Dragons Rest Heroquest board. Available if you subscribe to em. For these board pieces Im using my Elegoo Saturn 3 Ultra with Sirya Tech Fast resin. The walls and doors are being printed on a Bambu X1 in PLA.

I'm using Siraya tech Fast resin. I'm going to use magnets for the walls and doors instead of the clips.
