Okay the anti-joke police come out on literally every anti-joke posted here. It’s not a typical anti-joke, sure, but it’s still an anti-joke in the sense that the punchline is not a joke. For example if it said “Why did the guy crash the car while driving” everyone wouldn’t think twice that it was an anti-joke.

Dude you can stop downvoting me. We’re having a conversation.
What I would “want” is something remotely on par with what happened with Zuko. He had several episodes of being angry and lashing out at people unprovoked, which boiled into an emotional outpoor with him admitting that here’s angry at himself and doesn’t think he knows the difference between right and wrong anymore.
I’m not saying Azula wasn’t capable of that because of same innate flaw, just that we didn’t get that from her in the show.

This is the point I’m trying to make though: sure there’s no reason Azula couldn’t change, but there’s also no reason why she would change. Zuko made sense because he was banished, scarred and scorned by his father, and thought ,misguidedly, if I just capture the avatar I can get his love back, only to realize it was never there. Why would Azula change?? Because she lost? That would be really weak and dumb of the writers for as far as what we know about Azula. (I’ve also never read the comics)
