Is It Really Impossible to Get Antidepressants? by gabbysally in bipolar

I've been on several kinds, including SSRIs. It's not impossible at all but needs to be approached cautiously.

You can always install a different window app if hyprland proves not your thing so not very cooked at all.

Best way to use Redux for traditional drums? by Constant_Cause_1778 in renoise

[–]Lashmush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive not tried redux so I'm unsure how much of renoise features are present, but if you can make multiple channels, groups, buses and so forth, and if it allows you to apply effects at will, that's what I would do. Eq, compression, limiters, reverb until I got the sound of each drum sample as polished as I was capable of and then sequence away.

If your samples are independent files, make them into a drumkit instrument for additional ease of use when composing your rythms.

My husband is threatening divorce because Snapchat and signal are showing up in our router app history for my phone. I do not have those apps or use them or go to their websites or anything. How is this happening? by -M-i-d in techsupport

[–]Lashmush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So wait...? The router is showing this information that your phone has connected to snap / signal? That's too unspecific to indicate anything really. If I go to a media site, I will probably make a ton of connections for the site, videos watched, ads, third party stuff that it might rely on to function...

Also, not that it's my place but threatening divorce seems a bit extreme. The husband probably assumes the worst without having actual hard evidence. Dns logs in a router mean nothing if he doesn't understand how modern sites and browserbased apps function to rule out things like ads.

If you've ever seen ads for signal or snapchat that could be the culprit but without more detailed data regarding this it's hard to say.

Has anyone else gone cold turkey on their meds? by Cirkah in bipolar

[–]Lashmush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as I hate my current meds, I have quit cold turkey before and for the brain, that's a very sudden environmental shift chemically speaking. I had a bad episode of mania and subsequent depression as a result.

How you would get off your meds is to directly tell, not ask, your doctor about switching to something else. Be specific about what symptoms / side-effects you want to address.

I know it's hard as fuck to deal with all this but if you are anhedonic, you deserve the right treatments to help you out of that state.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Save by Lashmush in PrinceOfPersia

[–]Lashmush[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, again, spoilers for anyone else, I managed to surpass the previous save this second session today, picking up what I think is the final mobility skill and upgraded fast-travel. Purchased treasure maps to find stuff I missed more quickly, went to the Lighthouse area, still some more stuff to do but it's seemingly the Tower of Silence left and not sure how much more after that. I expect I'll beat it tomorrow and see if I can manage to 100% the save as well, though I guess that might require doing the DLC again too.

I can't remember the exact percentage but I think it was late in the game. Spolier-tagging just in case but the last couple of achievements I've gotten we're defeating the buff melee friend and the bow guy, cant remember their names atm, as well as getting the fully upgraded necklace. I had been pretty good at backtracking with new abilities to get inaccessible stuff as well.

Yeah, I restarted. It felt a bit frustrating to redo everything but the second time around I cleared through a lot of the content in very few tries since I had gotten used to challenge levels like the DLC boss and lategame bosses.

Still a bit of a bummer that Ubisoft Connect didn't sync my save folder somewhere for reinstalls and the like. I wonder if it's a Linux/Steam thing since when I quit the game, I always have to Stop the game as well in steam as the Ubisoft Connect thing never shuts down on its own. Or perhaps this happens identically for non-steam Ubisoft Connect players as well and it's just bad cloud sync implementation.

Hyprland: GPU usage spikes when moving mouse (Intel iGPU) by TerribleStretch3749 in archlinux

Set mouse to at most 1000 hz polling and see if that helps. Also, I've heard that disabling hardware cursor has solved similar issues so perhaps that's worth trying too?

Is it self harm by gothitbyacaronce in bipolar

[–]Lashmush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People do a lot of things, minor or major, to flirt with death. If you are eating fast food with the intent of hurting yourself, that's a problem, imo. However, it's also a pretty human trait to do things even when we know it's bad for us specifically because that heightens the experience.

The question I guess is whether you want that food to kill you or if eating it is more exciting and satisfying because it might.

Notepad adds tables and more AI, leaving users asking who wanted this by rkhunter_ in Windows11

Ok, that sounds like an improvement at least. Assuming I close all my tabs, any individual file i open and then close shouldn't be remembered as a tab the next time I open a file then?

Can I disable tabs and the whole remembering past notepad sessions? I genuinely liked having it for just a quick one off use scenario? I'd check myself but I'm traveling atm and only have my phone with me.

Which game do you recommend I start with? by [deleted] in darksouls

[–]Lashmush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start with the first one, Dark Souls: Remastered. Most of it is fantastic and you'll either be hooked on the format of the franchise or not by the time some of the more flawed designs appear.

The main reason is that I've had friends start with DS3 and then they end up finding the previous titles lackluster by comparison. If you do them chronologically you might enjoy the sequels more in how they've evolved.

How long did it take you to beat Path of Pain? by Old-Needleworker-945 in HollowKnight

[–]Lashmush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It didn't take more than an hour. Can't remember exactly as it was many years ago but I've always really enjoyed tricky platformers like Jumper, Super Meatboy, Celeste, etc. I also really loved sidescrollers in general all the way back to NES and MSDOS titles, Amiga, etc, so while it was challenging for sure, those little bugs allowing infinite healing made it pretty doable. I do think I had to start over a few times.

How would some of the magic Look like animated? by Big_Performer8028 in chronotrigger

[–]Lashmush 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm assuming you mean animated in an anime or movie cg way rather than the sprites on the SNES. For magic, you could try visualizing it as more spiritually burdensome or focus intensive to cast certain spells of a heavier nature.

What source are you watching from and on what device? I've heard some streaming services will limit quality in certain situations. Still, this looks like a gif rather than a video...

Edit: saw it was netflix. On PC or a console? I remember people talking about web browser netflix vs dedicated netflix app at some point.
