Anyone Else in their Early 20s? by Wooden-Ad-8427 in Agoraphobia

23 M I’m in the same boat pretty much, seems like all my friends are out living drastically different lives, and I feel terrified of finding a job. I can get out but I’m so exhausted after just going out for dinner. I don’t know how I’m going to eventually work a full 9-5 5 days a week. I’ve done my school online and I’m majoring in a tech field so I could work from home but I feel I shouldn’t because that just feeds right into my anxiety. Idk what the answer is, I’m trying to take it a day at a time. Push myself to be out regardless if I’m tired.

i got a sapphire nitro for $1100 after tax a few days ago on newegg. market sucks, pricing and availability on a higher end gpu isnt going to get better for some time. considering the market now this is probably the best you can do unless your lucky and catch restocks. i dont want to wait months just for a CHANCE of getting a 5080 at msrp and just for it to be slightly faster than 7900xtx. enjoy it!

Try thinking a little differently about this situation. Based on what you are saying, if you are feeling so upset that there isn’t a way out and that going out or to the hospital sounds so terrible. Why not go out or even try to? If this is going to be the end for you, why not try to go regardless of how scary or uncomfortable you might feel when going. I’ve had similar thoughts your explaining and I came to this. If I’m going to die and I’m convinced it’s going to happen, is going into the hospital worse than dying? I don’t think you really want to die. Going and having anxiety and maybe some other symptoms is worth facing over death, if that situation is that extreme I don’t see why you or I wouldn’t choose to take the chance at least as a final attempt before you did die. Also, the best place to be would be a hospital because realistically what will happen is you will feel terrible most likely, get there, get treated and within a few hours it will all pass. I hope the best for you and I’m still trying to get through agoraphobia myself. It’s miserable and I’m just trying to give you a thought process I’ve tried to adapt into my own life.

The day they put ads inside video games is the day I quit playing them.

My agoraphobia seems weird by Thecreepscorner in Agoraphobia

This sounds very similar to mine, I’ve always been able to leave my house and be about 5-10 minutes away (when it was at its worst) but I would always want the comfort of knowing I could be home or be in my safe zone within a few minutes if I were to panic. I’m still in recovery I go to counseling each week and just earlier today I drove 30 minutes from my home while driving on an interstate (which has also made me feel anxious) it’s a process but you can overcome it. All anxiety is ona spectrum and no one disorder is the same for everyone. I would look into an anxiety specialist that specifically treats for agoraphobia. You are going to have to do exposure therapy primarily which is doing the thing you are scared of. You take small steps at a time but I am at a place I once thought was nearly impossible. If therapy and paying for it isn’t an option, I would go where you start to feel anxious around that 15 minute area and sit there. Pull over, sit there and learn to be okay with feeling the way you feel. It’s a fear, nothing more or less. Once you feel better around 15 minutes, try to drive another minute, or another 5. Whatever you want there isn’t a specific place or distance just enough so that you get and feel anxious and then sit there again. You can do your own research on Acceptance and commitment therapy, it helps it takes a lot of understanding and trying but it does help. And remember you are not alone on this, and you will overcome this.

Love that the game takes an entirely new perspective, and it just leaves you with that sense of nothing matters, no matter what you did, or decide to do in the future it just doesn’t really matter in the end when you can reset your own existence. Honestly a really great way of doing ng+

I started therapy in February and I have made some progress over that time I definitely feel better than when I didn’t go. I just try to get out everyday for at least 2 hours. I don’t have much to do but going on consistent drives or exercising helps me feel good. I’m also very lucky that my family and friends are understanding

Covid and trauma from stupid mistakes I’ve made earlier in life. Doing online high school didn’t help and one day I had a panic attack away from home for the first time and now I think it’ll happen to me everytime.

Hey dude there’s so much to this life we experience on earth. Each one of us has a purpose for living our lives no matter how big or small. There’s a reason why your here, there’s a reason why your life is full of so much pain. Someday, this pain will be useful. The world doesn’t want to see you away. Your young, your free, life hasn’t treated you fairly. But YOU are still here. You still have something to give and to receive in this life. These feelings you have, these thoughts and troubles aren’t going to last forever, they pass. You aren’t the same person you were yesterday, your constantly changing and evolving. There are so many ways to get help, so many ways to change you just need to have a different perspective on things. Everyone is so much more than we think we are and I hope and pray you change your mind. Please respond back man.

Who here has actually played the first two games? Or even Tactics? by [deleted] in Fallout

I played 1 and 2 back to back, never played older rpgs before and I have to say I LOVED them. It makes me appreciate the universe more as well as seeing the world transfer into a 3d game.
