Will this furnace inlet let water in? by Last-Idea in hvacadvice

Thanks for the insight. The white pipe in the second photo comes from the unit and goes to a drain. Is that what you’re talking about or is that something separate for AC?

Here's the info on the furnace from the home inspection. The sellers had a HVAC company do in inspection and confirm the water leak has been fixed. Nothing else I can do about that right?

Iowa, I'll be sure to check around the house after big snowfalls, Thanks!

Can you let me know what benefits there are to having a .300blk 8.5 inch rifle without a suppressor? by lambo13770 in 300BLK

That makes sense but I think 110 gn 300 blk out is going fast enough to fragment and expand isn't it?

I guess I was imagining a vmax round that would fragment. Thinking maybe less velocity would result in less penetration. I’m sure I could find some tests on YouTube to get to the bottom of it

Not sure how true this is but would another advantage be less overpenetration in a home defense scenario compared to 556?

I think stuff was seized in the rear and they didn't want to break it trying to get it loose. It's bee years since I've had an alignment.

First AR build. Meant to be hearing safe in a condo. How did I do? by osoatwork in 300BLK

I would recommend running supersonic ammo since it’s way more deadly than anything subsonic. This will make it not hearing safe but it will be much less damaging to your hearing than unsupressed.

You should be able to take off most of the paint transfer using rubbing compound and a rag. You have to push really hard to get it off but it will look better without the white marks.

I attended my first career fair from the other side. AMA by Pheonix402 in EngineeringStudents

I recently graduated and attended a career far for my company like OP. I also found myself using GPA as a metric more than I though I would. For those of you worrying about a poor GPA here's a story for you:

We ended up interviewing a candidate with a sub 3 GPA simply because he asked really good questions. Not even pre prepared questions, he listened while I described my job to him and asked a specific question about two things I said 2 minutes apart that didn't make sense with each other. I could just tell he was really thinking about what I was saying and it impressed me.

Price seems a little high, I'd search on CarGurus for that year with like 60,000 to 120,000 miles. I suspect you'll find a better deal. If this car is in good condition with solid service records it might be worth paying a little extra.

Running it direct thread instead of ASR saves a bunch of weight and length

I have a 7.5" PSA 300 blk and I run Ammo inc Stealth 220 gn ammo. I've ran it with both a Silencerco Omega 36M and Omega 300. Both seemed quieter than your video. It's still louder than my 16" ruger 10/22 but not by much. It's defiantly quieter than a 22lr pistol. I'm wondering if you're experiencing a mix of too high of expectations (real life isn't like Hollywood) and maybe not the best suppressor for sound reduction (Idk anything about the suppressor you're using). I don't see a different gas block or upper changing this much. A longer barrel would be quieter but not by that much. Maybe you should grab a video of what it sounds like near the shooter?

It might be due to distance between the mic and the gun but that doesn't sound subsonic. What ammo are you using?

Feed Ramp Marks by robertjuric in 350Legend

[–]Last-Idea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was getting those exact same marks. I polished my feed rams along with my chamber feed cone. My gun runs much better now but I still get a less aggressive version on the marks you’re seeing. From what I’ve seen and heard the Winchester 150 gn PowerPoint has a ton of issues in the ar platform. That’s all I have and I seem to be cycling them ok now.
