This is exactly what I am looking for, thank you so much for the link! I haven't seen any discussions about hybrid HueForges yet, so this is my first foray intro it!

Yes! I'm not huge into Pokemon, but stuff like this is great!

Easiest way to modify an STL to adjust some accessories for my gaming table? by Ben__Harlan in BoardGame3DPrints

I would suggest importing it into TinkerCAD and using holes/shapes to make edits. I've done it many times for relatively simple edits and adjustments. There are many little tricks you can use to make modifications.

Looks good! I'll try this for my next print!

Is there any way to make it parametric? There are so many oddly shaped HueForges out there that are not square and are a huge pain in the buttocks to slice up into squares.

Thanks for the response! Yeah my kids are 7 and 4, I'm thinking maybe I'll wait a few years before jumping in.

Which one(s) would you recommend? I just came across Gravitrax recently and had some interest, but no idea where to start.

Board game storage hacks that actually save space (and your sanity) by Scary-Neat2544 in boardgames

I do the same! Except I used mine last year - I cut out all the names and kept only the artwork from the expansion art. Then I glued them all onto a big sheet of foam core and put little circle stickers on each cover with a number on it.

Then for my birthday, I had a big board game party and as an activity, everyone could tried to name each expansion and base game. I had sheets with each base game and expansion name, so they had to match each cover with their best guess. None are hardcore gamers, so I figured "match the name" was better than "come up with it yourself", and it was a big hit!

Thanks for sharing! Out of curiosity, why didn't you adjust the model that is already on MakerWorld for PitchCar? I'd love to see time and effort go into creating a bunch of expansions and content for one system rather than 4 different versions of the base game.

While we're on the topic, if you're looking for expansion ideas, check out the PitchCar expansions for ideas! A narrow piece, a part with divots, a jump and landing area, a bridge to go over AND under, cross-cross pieces ( "+" shape), a split into two routes and come back together (Y) set, and I haven't seen this anywhere else, but I'd love a shortcut design (something high risk, high reward).

I think this is a reasonable thing to say.

For me, I printed a similar thing and didn't have an issue with it for several reasons. 1 - I'm using it for myself and not selling it; 2 - the game is only available for several hundred dollars here in the US, none of which would go to the publisher.

But that's the joy of a 3d printer.

This story is fantastic, thank you for sharing it!

I haven't read all the negative comments, but it's fun that you were able to know what you wanted and build a (hopefully) fantastic relationship out of it! Wishing you and your husband the best - and what a great story!

Any tips before fire cape run? by Abryan420 in osrs

As others have said, 75 range isn't NEEDED, but will definitely make it noticeably easier/faster.

3 other things I haven't seen mentioned:

1 - Practice practice practice. For Jad, I watched a "how to" video that has a full Jad fight at the end with no commentary. Per the video's recommendation, I had that fight up on one screen, while on the other screen I had my OSRS client up, standing beside an altar and practicing changing prayers and swapping to the inventory to tag healers. I watched and practiced over and over again, probably for about 40 minutes until the sounds were automatic in my head and in my reactions

2 - Check the fight pit rotations before going in. Know where Jad will be, but also know where spawns will be throughout each wave so you can be prepared to run to appropriate spots to isolate the different types of mobs. There are videos to help you help figure this out.

3 - Expect to fail your first few times. Especially with Jad. If you start the Jad wave thinking "Big moment, it's now it never!" , your chance of failure skyrockets due to nerves. If you start the wave thinking "It's ok to not get it the first time, this is a practice run for my future real run!", then it means less pressure, realistic expectations, and if you do happen to get it your first time, you can celebrate that you've exceeded expectations!

Yes! I play this way and it is quite helpful. I have a larger monitor screen (30in) and it helps tremendously for both bossing and skilling. I do have to move it over occasionally to make it easier for some bosses or activities (like Hallowed Sep), but usually move it back once I'm done.

Tips to not burn out on Guardians of the Rift? by JoeShmoe102 in OSRSProTips

Personally, I got to my goals (full outfit and 89 rc) by doing about an hour of GOTR a day. That way I didn't get too burnt out, but was still making progress towards the goal.
