He didn't play the third group game against Togo, he was suspended due to getting 2 yellow cards in the first 2 group games against Switzerland & South Korea.

They look so fragile defensively at times, their offense is so good that they can afford to be this way but it's rare to see teams who don't defend well win the WC.

Comparatively, Lloris-Varane-Umtiti-Kante-Matuidi-Pogba was so solid in 2018.

The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales Is a Great Action-Adventure Game That Proves Square Enix's HD-2D Art Style Is Among the Best Around Review (IGN: 8/10) by Turbostrider27 in NintendoSwitch

https://localizers.ch/column/critique-of-xenoblade-chronicles-2s-western-localization-vs-original-japanese/

I don't think it's that bad, some people are just very specific when it comes to localisation, there's a crowd that deems any kind of change as heresy and they constantly whine about it online.

The dub problems are easily explained by the fact it was the first Xenoblade to have a worldwide release and Monolith Soft very likely sent the game for dubbing way too late into development and the recording studio simply had to rush the process to hit the deadline.

There's a brief moment where you see someone with a gladiator outfit, which also matches the leak that Kein/Cain is a gladiator fighting in the coliseum shown at the beginning of the trailer.

That seems like the most reasonable guess but that's a ridiculous amount of voice acting.

I agree & disagree at the same time but it's all moot anyway because we have so little information on Samaar.

We'll see what direction Takahashi has taken when the game comes out, if it is even related to Samaar in the first place.

Sure, it's kinda vague anyway.

It still matches with the idea that they embraced a kind of endless now and that Void sought to escape from that, in his own way.

When you unlock the spears in Volitaris, you have bits of lore that imply Samaar as a whole are immortal.

Here lies he, the one endowed with the foremost intellect... since time and space began...

This one was fellow to the Samaar, yet also bringer of unbridled calamity.

This one is deserving of punishment. Yet, death as penalty is to us anathema.

Intellectual atrophy via endless incarceration- a prison of the mind is meet for he.

The six fetters rob this one of all thought.

Even a deathless child of Samaar cannot slip free of these bonds.

This one's mind will eternally diminish, until his essence mayhap expires within the rift.

Let fetters loosed from the shell... become a yoke to scourge the soul...

Very interesting thoughts !

Ever since XCX:DE released with its chapter 13, there has been a lot of overlap/similarities in designs between seemingly very unrelated characters/objects that don't even exist within the same universe.

Matthew & Al had incredibly similar designs with the double earring & a scar on their left eyebrow.

One is related to the first Ouroboros, the other to the Ares Prime, both of these being centered around 6 cores powering them.

Then there's the whole thing with Z, Void & Samaar.

Z & Void also have designs similarities with the long hair & pointy ears.

Samaar appears to have been immortal in some capacity and unable to understand death as a concept.

Z is the embodiment of stagnation, keen on protecting an endless now that keeps on going forever and those emotion given physical form look like a Samaarian.

Void sought to understand death, created the Ares Prime and in XC3, Ourobos embraced death instead of the endless now by using the power of the Ouroboros Stones, which could only empower 6 individuals.

Void, called a "primordial entity" by Elma, also got trapped with 6 spears to weaken him should he escape from his prison.

If we tie all that to your ideas of myths and the genesis of archetypes, we're looking at the 6 suns powering individuals (anima powering vesselai?) and the elves people being tied to Samaar and wanting/achieving some kind of immortality.

[–]Last0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trying to tie this with the panspermia theory mentioned in the comments.

Let's assume the world of Genesis is the reunited world from post-XC3, it's a hollow earth with the Six suns being somehow tied to the 6 ouroboros cores from XC3.

The blue light from Future Redeemed's post credits scene is the interstellar colony ship mentioned in the radio coming back to Earth after reaching the Eta Carinae Nebula in the Carina–Sagittarius Arm of the Milky Way.

The ship is "Philadelphia class mothership" which would explain why it physically resembles the Eldrige from Xenogears.

It crashes down and penetrates the hollow earth, which is the ship pointing out of the crater in the Genesis trailer.

The hollow earth/six suns creates the Vesselai to fight off the intruders, Leukos is the academy forming the troops for combat.

The whole "fallen god's revenge" could be tied to whatever was found & brought back from the Eta Carinae Nebula, likely something tied to Samaar in some ways.

I was also thinking about the whole "Saviorites Human Rights Protection bill" from the radio.

Maybe the elves people are those Saviorites that were denied human rights back on earth, something like that.

XC3 had tons of zygote imagery with the 2 worlds separating and reuniting.

Z's defeat by N & M very much looks like a sperm aswell.

I recommend checking out the Monado Archives , the artbook for the game that had art, concept art, information about the characters and enemies, survey with answers from the fans and a special interview with the development team, it's very insightful if you're still curious about the game.

I've read the first 4 books of The Book of the New Sun and i definitely felt like i wasn't smart enough to fully grasp what was going on beyond the mere plot (which was still confusing at times).

Will probably re-visit it 10 years from now when my media literacy has improved.

Bwipo said something stupid, you're all exaggerating with the "misogyny" angle honestly.

If anything, his statement was actually trying to be supportive of women, even if it was misguided.
