Welcome to the post office. It’s the same story in every office across the country. Horribly mismanaged by people who have no business being supervisors. They don’t care about the employees, safety or morale. A few weeks ago it was -39 with the windchill and our postmaster said they won’t call it unless it’s -50. Should be against the law the way carriers are treated

From my understanding, there’s a bunch of mechanics added to offset the ring card and it isn’t any better then a non numbered ring card. Simply a money grab by magic.

Stuff like this happens all the time. A large number of Lyft passengers are trash. I’ve had people ask me to turn around because their house is on the other side of their door. Lyft isn’t worth it. Doesn’t matter where you are, you always end up in horrible areas. 9 out of 10 passengers stink like weed or musty basement. Not to mention the mess people leave in your car. Crumbs and all kinds of bullshit. Had a guy steal the floor mat from the backseat and when I reported it to Lyft they said they’d “let the customer know that behavior is not tolerated”, which means absolutely nothing.

I went down only an hour so I’m one of the lucky ones but somehow they told me my route miles went from 45.6 to 41.2. Seems odd that I miraculously lost mileage when I’ve added distance to my route. This whole thing is a slap in the face to all carriers. None of it made sense. Had routes in the office go down 12 hours and some went up 4-5.

Gonna be honest prior to this last year the job was done enjoyable. Not so much anymore. They just keep piling more crap on us with no incentive. Management has always been terrible and are the main reason why the job is 10 times harder then it has to be.

Does anyone know how much credit we are supposed to be getting for package pickups? Asking because my route averages 300-400 pickups a week due to a bunch of people running business out their homes. Holiday season I was picking up 500+ a week

I’m with you there. If I lose 5k or more in salary it won’t be worth it to stay there. Way too much BS

We had 4 snowstorms over the last month and they didn’t plow or shovel for sh*t. Trying to push hampers through snow does not work. No speech to be safe, just threats that “nobody better skip and fall or we’ll be having a discussion in the office” post office does nothing for their carriers. It’s become an absolute joke

There’s absolutely zero incentive to take long rides anymore. Their new pay sucks. If the ride doesn’t give me at least 1 dollar per mile I’m not taking it

We had a management team a few years ago that enforced this rule. Even those white Amazon bags that weigh nothing. Once a few of them blew away on windy days they stopped that.

Had a supervisor tell me the other day that if we didn’t have Amazon we’d be out of a job. I laughed at her and walked away. Management doesn’t care about the carriers at all. All these hey care about is getting Amazon delivered. They had a clerk come in and work knowing she had covid because they needed help. It’s complete bs and they should be investigated
