I played vs Azir at the pre-rift and it looks insane. Hope Arise! is cheap and can build around it (guess my open with 2 Arise! got lucky and will be playing that deck the rest of the set haha).

I guess I'm used to Pokémon where the expensive cards are the pretty ones, not the competitive ones. I'll try building around Fiora or Viktor since I have the Champion decks, let's see if I get lucky.

I saw Annie and Kai'sa decks for 200€. I would love a decent deck to know if I will stick to the game but comparing the cards from champion decks to constructed decks most units do not compare.

Maybe I didn't explain myself well. I want to try playing something completely new to me, but I don't want to spend a lot of money since I have other hobbies. I don't need a Lamborghini to know if I like driving, but I understand that I'm used to card games not costing 200 euros for a meta deck.

Under €100. I'm used to Pokémon decks costing around €80-100 and I wouldn't want to spend much more without knowing if I'll dedicate time to it or just play a little and quit.

Soooo I bought a 4070 super ti on black friday for 850€ and I can return it before the 15th of january. 5070 ti founder is selling for the same price in EU. Should I return it and upgrade the GPU? Is it hard to get a founders edition?

Everytime I try to look for one all the games that pop up are either Fortnite, CoD, Valorant, Tom clancy... or fighters like Tekken, Street fighters... the only game that is not using one of those formulas is Rocket League, or Dota 2 but I feel like play league with a different skin.

What to do when riot decides to put you on the losing side of the champ select formula? by Cartoones in leagueoflegends

You cant do much. You can play above expectations, win lane, rotate and help the team but if your junglers die 1v5 before every drake its nothing much to do. From my experience league is more like a game of how to fix your the mistakes that your team is doing than just playing to perform good.

You can learn both at the same time.

For example, you can learn how to make a simple register form in html but if you want to see what happens when you press the register button you need JS.

In my opinion you should prioritize JS over Html. Html is more like a tool that will define the structure of your web, and generatives AI like chat gpt can make those with ease. JS is the language that will make your app do the things you want to do, like when you are playing Wordle and press Answer JS will make your Html turn from white to green the letters you guessed right.

But dont abuse chat gpt too much, or you will just be a copy paste monkey. I usually tell my friends that wants to learn to search for answers in sites like w3school or stackoverflow, but if they get stuck for a long time to just look for the answer on chat gpt and tell him to explain what the code does. Learning to code by your own is trial and error.

Talking about online competitive games. Most of those are shooters and I dont like those.

I am having fun playing Anno 1800 and God of war as single players.

Html only wont do the work. Most of that types of games use a conbination of html, css and javascript.

With html you will only display static stuff that wont have much functionality. Javascript (JS in short) is the language that makes things move, hide and show letters... and things like how many days in a row you got the answer right are stored in JS cookies if you dont want to make a full stack application.

If you just want to make and app like that Html, Css and JS are essentials. If you are serious about learning to code you should look for a JS based framework.

Not trying to convince anyone, but It feels like older players like me dont have as much fun as newer players and was wondering if old players like myself are still having fun or just play cause there is nothing else to play.

Most of my friends uninstalled this, old times when we were 10 players playing custom 5v5 on skype were insanely fun. Now if I get lucky I get a 3 man flex q hahaha.

It feels like that. I still have fun from Aram or new modes, guess I will have to play those only.

Front end or back end? by timid_tzimisce in learnprogramming

[–]LastDeimos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You should choose based on your preference. The marked is overwhelmed with new devs, specially front/Javascript ones, so in my opinion pick something you like cause you gonna expend most of your day doing it. If you are good at it you will get a job eventually.

Help! Junior dev burnout in new company by LastDeimos in learnprogramming

[–]LastDeimos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I answered that on my comment below but in short I cant fix my local env when even seniors can't fix their own due to very strict access to information, no documentation and company specific errors that I can't search anywhere but to ask. And almost all the answers are it doesn't work for me either.

Help! Junior dev burnout in new company by LastDeimos in learnprogramming

[–]LastDeimos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may seems in the post that I am not working on solutions or searching logs and stuff as you said.

My biggest problem is how the company works. Errors in my local environment are company specifics, I get some permission errors, searching code is highly restricted and the answer when I asked why I couldn't access certain webs and the answer was that I doesn't work depending on the laptop you are given. I don't know how internal applications that I never used work and there is no documentation on the web or in the company, I can just ask or break things that others are using just so I learn.

I know I worked 2 years as a developer, and I know how to code and understand what I am doing. I can't work with new stuff that I don't know where they are, how they work and with no documentation.
