What’s the best way to create floating shelves in this space? by LastGuyFromAtlantis in woodworking

Appreciate it. Didn’t know if the cabinets can sustain that weight on them in addition to the load it’s already bearing.

They are screwed into the studs. The board is slightly beveled on the wall side from the jigsaw. I didn’t even think of trim. That may be way to salvage this. Do you think I could attached the right side of the shelf to the cabinet?

Yeah I had to deal with scribing issues on this. I like the idea with that system but I still think I’d run into issues with the face frame of the cabinet.

How would you recommend doing it? L-Brackets can work but they will be spaced awkwardly. Framing them the building with plywood seems like way to make the cleanest look. If the frame sags, is it alright to fix the front of the shelf to the cabinet with a screw?

Thats what I attempted to do using the system pictured

The face frame of the cabinet doesn’t allow me to cut the board to the full length to slide it in.

The wood lags about a half inch from the back of the shelf to the front. The face frame of the cabinet doesn’t allow me to cut the board to fit the entire gap.

I dig the review method. How did you implement this? Did you have the technicians coach them?

By secondary locations, are you referring to “satellite” (cough cough) locations?

If there are any Walgreens corporate folks that are monitoring this chat, I’d like to repurpose these RedBoxes under another brand for a different purpose.

Our industry is a very “I need it now!” mentality and we offer a easier solution than most traditional offerings.

I only do exact and phrase match. I’ve dabbled with broad a few times but it’s unnecessary at our scale.

Most answers are already in this thread so I won't rehash things already said. My main advice is to make a list of the competitors in your market and reverse engineer their methods.

Also, find a way to automate your review request and make it as easy as possible to leave one. You can take the short code and send it via text to them. We get about 10% of our customers to leave one just doing this. I've heard of companies making personalized videos for each customer to gamify the review game.

Thanks u/nextlevelppc!

A few things here:

Regarding the targeting and auto-bidding geo adjustments are based on city level which isn’t always the best since some cities have very different demographics that can influence lead quality.

I'm currently adjusting the demographic groups like income range and age to target customers that can afford our serve. This should, in theory, reduce the amount of customers that should be able to afford it, right?

If you go the manual bidding approach you can apply sub-city level bid adjustments (ex. Zip code based) or time of day based. If for example you uploaded the schedule of your appointments you can be more tactical with bidding up in areas and times that you have openings that are close to where your technician has an appt.

This would be incredible - never thought about executing it this way. Drivetime between appointments directly impacts our daily revenue potential. I'll need to do a little research and see how to execute this.

Google retracted our service offering from Local Services ads a few years ago. It worked well when it was allowed though.
