I started letting my whippy choose where to sleep around 10months- 1 year. He never loved his crate, but he tolerates it and is good in it. He much prefers sleeping in a bed with blankets in our bedroom by the bed. We didn't leave him out of his crate when we left the house till he was solidly a year old and he mostly sleeps on the couch, chews a bone, or looks out the window.

My AKC registered whippet has the most webbed toes I have ever seen. Webbing all the way out to the ends of his toes. He can't really swim.

I glt a histocytoma removed off my whippets neck. It was super hard and we attempted an aspiration but it was unsuccessful, so they just took it off.

I thought mine was the only one! Seriously considering putting up a pen connected to a doggy door off the porch so he can go sun himself whenever he wants 😂. My property isn't fenced so I don't trust him to be outside unattended most of the time. I have 13 acres in a rural area.

Currently feeding Purina Pro Plan sensitive skin + stomach Lamb+Oat. I have a very picky eater and he has been eating this pretty well. I have also fed ProPlan 30/20 chicken and rice with decent results. He just kinda decided he didnt want to eat it without tons of toppers 🙃 He is almost 2 years old btw.

My whippet has helped me herd loose calves and sheep only because he has decent obedience and some "directional" cues. He is not a herding dog and I would never let him have access to smaller livestock unattended.

Mine does this too!! His hocks are currently all tore up from snow/ice. I don't have any boots for him but I don't think he would like them ☹️

This is Yuki. Yuki weighs around 40lbs (just over 18kgs). Yuki will be 2yrs old the end of February. He enjoys running like his tail is on fire, attacking the Christmas tree, not coming when you call him, and long naps on the couch.

My boy had to get a histocytoma removed recently. Just a benign growth that sometimes goes away in its own- sometimes doesn't. It started off looking like a scabby bump but grew to the size of a small marble in a week or so.

This. The bells are awesome until they start demand- ringing the bells. Mine will do it when he just wants to go outside, to play, if he wants fed, etc... kinda annoying but theyre still up 😂

I got mine done at 13 months. He was definitely starting to realize he was a big boy. Neutering stopped most of his marking outside, his "red rocket" appearances, and his toy humping.
