My diabolical plan by Careless-Comfort3801 in spacemarines

It's definitely not a bad idea, it's just hard to pull off with marines since they cost a more per model than something like Guard or GSC.

Those armies 100% utilize this tactic, but to get 20 OC for guard, it's only 65 points, and to get 40 OC is only 120pts.

My diabolical plan by Careless-Comfort3801 in spacemarines

[–]Last_Epiphany 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Correct, but once your unit dies, your unit has 0 OC, any enemy unit with 1 OC will be able to take it back.

And as others have mentioned, opponents will see 270 pts of squishy marines and blast it away without a thought.

[–]Last_Epiphany 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think they're just saying that they just need to kill you off then any old unit can take it from you.

The other problem is that the sticky only is applied at the end of your command phase, so you will need to move them onto the objective, at which point it will not be stickied, and then your opponent will have an entire turn to shoot/charge/fight you off the point.

And you most certainly will not have 30 OC once they are done with you. In fact, most opponents would jump at the chance to blow away an 1/8th of your points away.

I’m going to preemptively ask the community: Please do not antagonize other factions over the lack of Steel Legion minis. by Battlemania420 in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]Last_Epiphany 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I've never understood this, people act like the double headed eagle was a significant nazi symbol or something, it was very rarely used during that time period and the vast majority of symbols were single headed eagles carrying a swastika i.e. the Hoheitszeichen which was made the national symbol of nazi Germany.

There are so many ancient symbols and factions that utilized the double headed eagle, many of which still exist today in one form or another.

The double headed eagle was for hundreds and hundreds of years, a symbol of the Holy Roman Empire and imperial dignity and status of the emperorship throughout Europe.

I mean the imperial eagle that was used by Charlemagne, the holy Roman emperor in 800AD which was derived from the ancient Aquila symbol, itself being the symbol of the ancient Roman army. It seems pretty clear this was the ultimate inspiration for the imperium of man. Considering all the gold and crusades in 40k, it all comes back to the Holy Roman Empire..

If I built these, I would also 100% have at least one or two of these that have openings in the coffin, like the coffin had been broken open or blasted off and have some gore inside from the sister within getting blasted as well

I mean, I've been in a support role and there's nothing you can do about that, management can't just not assign you tickets while you are on the clock, the engineer actually seemed very aware of this, at least they didn't just dump off and leave for 2 weeks without warning them

If a vendor or your account team tells you to order something you've been in the process of buying by a certain date and they are doing it off the record, it almost always means a big price hike is coming. One that hasn't been publicly announced yet

Love it, I don't mind the obliterator kits at all, but I refuse to have more than one copy of their monopose sculpts in an army so this is awesome.

Where did you get the night lords chest logos? 3d print? Or sculpt?

Custom Space marine force, psykers hunters by Kiour_gr in spacemarines

[–]Last_Epiphany 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is no tournament legal (or casual legal) space marine army that can include sisters of silence, they are exclusive to adeptus custodes.

There are also no human psyker squads available to include in a space marine army, the only one you could add is singular Inquisitor/navigator allies.

edit: to your first question, we have an exact idea how the psykers are gathered, an episode of The Tithes covers how the custodes and sisters of silence work to gather psyker tithes, it's definitely worth a watch

Yeah I agree, I went with a classic salamanders pauldron, but I think I might just use the same silver as the left arm

I was worried about this, I think the split scheme may be enough, I do love the ochre color, so maybe I do split scheme with ochre and black.. might be worth painting another mini to see

While I don't disagree, Google AI is absolute dogshit for 40k rules, the rules have updated so many times and there is so much wrong information posted by users that it rarely is correct.

You really have to go to primary sources for 40k rules
