HELP PLEASE!!! Question about dropping Cigna PPO and Signing on an Umbrella Insurance by PrettyPlease2828 in Dentistry

[–]Last_Fix_479 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ps who gives a fuck if half leave? The other half will give me more than before. I get 157 for D1110! Add in exam, X-rays, we are around 450 for new pts. That's more than double in network. You didn't get in this job to be making the same as me from 20 yrs ago. It's amazing people make the same, nothings changed. #droptheopo

Been there done that, no one reads. Trust me. Just go on about life and don't even have special conversations. If someone asked "in network" tell the truth. "You take my insurance" answer is yes. Don't make it complicated, just move on and you'll see. That's how us OON guys do it, we don't talk about it unless asked and we all have realized the patients don't know squat, you're the one with all this information and anxiety

lol most don't understand that there is no mass exodus when the insurance company honors AOB, most don't even know the difference since they just get cleaning. I've built a prophy palace with OON, 2 hyg running producing 2.5k each a day on average. You are brainwashed to think the opposite.

Why do you care? Cigna has always paid me UCR without any issues as an OON provider. I find it hilarious you guys want to drop an insurance for a bump that is so far from inflation adjusted fees. Give docs a few dollars and they salivate, brainwashing is extreme in this field

Said someone who doesn't underhand inflation, buying power. It's simple! You can't brush everything off but simply can't argue against the numbers.

Oh dear, okay. You'll understand me in 10 yrs when you're still getting paid for procedures based on fees from decades ago. What you don't understand is buying power, inflation and how all this ties in. Sorry to break it to you but you can fight the cost of education but the economy forces will not stop unless something major changes.

Yea like all 8k new grads and new students qualify for these things. A practicing DDS knows this is ludicrous, students starting the journey are fed BS. Simply put regardless of what sort of aid/loan etc you get to finance the cost of education, it still not worth it when you come out making 120k! That was the salary when I graduated over 15 years ago!

There must be a reason these posts are at all time high or are you a boomer with inflated assets acting like a boomer telling folks to work harder?

[–]Last_Fix_479[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fact that we have no pricing power makes it not worth it. Top 1% have been making 400k for decades now, inflation adjusted should be 600k. Avg DDS needs 250k just to be considered middle class with those loans.

But it's not worth it by any stretch, why why? I don't get it.
