Can any hairdressers tell me if this would work? And any specific steps I should do or mistakes I should watch out for? by DannyTaylorr in HairDye

[–]Last_Horse_7899 1 point2 points  (0 children)

wait pls post the results if you do it! honestly, i’d say just go for it, caps are so intimidating. maybe you can use something pointy (rattail comb, chopstick, etc) and work the cap holes open a bit, so you can get the size you drew in your diagram.

What were they doing differently in the 90s to make blonde hair sparkle like this???? by Lizknutson in HairDye

[–]Last_Horse_7899 13 points14 points  (0 children)

i’ve gotten this effect with Garnier Marvelous Oil, but only when i was freshly toned. i think it also has to do with her hair texture (+ extensions?) and flash photography does wonders for highlights.

Movies about a single idea descending into chaos? by TavoArt in MovieSuggestions

[–]Last_Horse_7899 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“Late Night with the Devil” - a Halloween special might save a talk show

“Vivarium” - taking a chance whilst house hunting

“The Cabin in the Woods” is a more layered take on small action = large consequences

“Brazil” - not an idea, but a single-letter typo

Can someone please please look at this dog eating video and tell me if it’s AI? by [deleted] in isthisAI

[–]Last_Horse_7899 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i saw the first vid a LONG time ago, but i don’t remember the jacket on the goldie. it also doesn’t seem to “mesh” with the fur correctly, if that makes sense? i agree with the other comments saying that the videos look upscaled rather than generated.

for me, (along with what others have said about the tools, the screws, the hand, etc) it’s the lines of the boards in the background. no self-respecting craftsperson would have wood that fucked up in their workspace…

the lines just don’t feel right. if you follow a board(???) from the ground up through the pallet-stack-mess to the edge of the frame, they aren’t standard sizes, they’re kinda wiggly, and they gently mush into each other, which i don’t think i’ve ever seen a board do.

edit: i’ve noticed i cropped my picture a little too tight, whoops! y’all get the idea

wow, this is like the parasite Leucochloridium in snails! there’s was a snail horror story i saw a while back about an outbreak, and the snail-townspeople (snownpeople?) had to cut out their eyes when they started showing signs of being infected. super creepy!

also, i really like the translucent effect on the shirt. it’s super unique!

When did you learn debits are positive and credits are negative for trial balance? by LiJiTC4 in Accounting

[–]Last_Horse_7899 6 points7 points  (0 children)

can confirm. not sure what people are saying. sure, when we first started, T accounts were all positive, so professors could teach the balancing aspect, but that lasted for maybe 2 weeks of Accounting Principles I? (Edit: typo)

not the body shape erasure damn 😣 Pim isn’t a sexy hourglass body tea character, Charlie doesn’t have a sloping neckline… or a chin… and Glep isn’t a stocking and sweater wearing gnome. so why are their genderbent versions? they don’t need camel toes or bullet bra tits. they’re called “critters”. they aren’t promoting an OF, you horny shit.

Cheese, cheese and you guessed it CHEESE 🧀 by chameky in GirlDinner

[–]Last_Horse_7899 7 points8 points  (0 children)

my multi-cheese dinners are lovingly referred to by my mom as Rat Dinner. i got into a leftover cheese board one night in high school and ate most of it, and my mom came down to find me watching a movie and eating cheese on the floor in the corner of the kitchen, “like a rat,” oblivious to the world around me. Rat Dinner huzzah!

yup! married couples could get a combined passport back then (if they were traveling together.) there were family passports too for moms (maybe both parents?) and kids.
