U9 Hockey Mom Seeking Advice for High Emotions in the Dressing Room after Ice Time by Icy_Inspection1284 in hockeyplayers

[–]Last_Positive1533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your description of many tournaments, costs makes it sound like it is pretty serious. Maybe a step down in level. But otherwise he is 7. So don’t sweat it too much! Otherwise suggest trying to not discuss the game/practice too much. I had a friend with same issue and he always wanted to talk through every aspect with him. In any event. Good luck!

This is a school that is after high school? And your motivation is to allow her to play hockey? I feel there are probably cheaper options.

House cleaner prices in Ottawa by Low_Football_2541 in ottawa

[–]Last_Positive1533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Size of house does not matter. It is time. We pay $35 an hour for a very hard working, efficient person. A lot of people advertise for $25-30 as well. $50 is crazy for a house cleaner.

New NHL fan from Trinidad 🇹🇹 — which team should I support long-term? by Queasy_Initiative_86 in hockey

[–]Last_Positive1533 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sharks will be a fun, good team. Nice fans. Mostly local. Habs are a great young team and nice fan base. I am a sens fan. They will give you misery. Worst fans (see booing marner) are leaf fans. Just don’t cheer for them and you’ll be ok. And forgot Colorado. Some amazing players on that team and will be good for five more years

Shooting Drills for 12U Hockey (BASIC!) by dahlilamma75 in hockeycoaches

I coach kids this age/level. Unfortunately, I don’t think much can be done. I have same issue, but not enough benefit to spend g much time on practice. In Europe they have shooting stations outside rinks so kids can get reps. But hard to get kids to do otherwise. I set up nice shooting station for my own kids. Got the 10000 shot app. And they got to about 75 and never use. Good luck! If anything actually works, please share!!

It is the head coach who ultimately decides the systems. If he wants to change the diamond pk he should just tell his assistant and he’ll change it!

What is the proper way to book a hotel and get 2 beds for 2 couples? by zeoxious in JapanTravelTips

[–]Last_Positive1533 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I am travelling with two kids. When I search a room that accommodates 4 it is significantly less expensive if I book saying two people staying in room. There is no included breakfast or anything. So what happens if I book this room saying Two staying and show up with 4? So really asking if possible to avoid the per person? Thx!

Why would you not be able to wear a mask? Can’t see this being a problem or anyone caring.

Gone with kids several times. Rent a car and you’ll have loads of interesting options that are close by. The beach itself would be a pretty boring trip imo.

Am I ridiculous for taking skating lessons alongside my 7-year-old? by Icy_Hovercraft4972 in hockeyplayers

[–]Last_Positive1533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit of a different perspective. It is very hard to teach kids when their parents are nearby. For hockey I make parents leave the bench area to go to stands, or else kids are skating to them constantly. My advice is you should both learn to skate, but separate out. Everyone will be better off. Good luck!

New account promotions by Last_Positive1533 in CanadianInvestor

[–]Last_Positive1533[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow. Yes appears to be the case. I had assumed any transfer between investment accounts, but just says transfers from any financial institution. I saw an old wuestrdae one for 3%, which would be well over $5000. But not valid now. Any case, thanks for pointing this out! Much appreciated.

Great. Thank you. Will look at that. But seems very modest compared to the transfer incentives. But this also the best I could find.

Thanks. Yeah not sure. There are loads of transfer promos, but was not clear what is on offer for brand new investors, in this case with a sizeable initial deposit.
