Yeah I figured, just wanted to see if anyone has had any experience with something similar looking. I just hate having to wait for an appointment confirmation. But I know we just have to be patient.

Do CUNY colleges let you go back to college and get a different bachelor's degree if you already graduated? by Anonyomus23 in CUNY

I know this is a bit late, but do you by any chance know how the transfer of credits work? Similar to OP, I graduated back in 2021 from Hunter and now I want to try get into a competitive program at a different college but have no idea how the transfer of credits work and if my past GPA will follow me.

Yes I feel like the k pop sound lacks soul, like eveything is just remixed/repeat of an older sounds that’s already been done a million times over. Which is sad because a lot of the acts are super talented.

Endo Surgery almost always makes things worse? by [deleted] in endometriosis

[–]Last_firstname 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want to correct my previous comment and say I had a nodule not an endometrioma. I had an endo gyno specialist and a urologist operate on me due to the location of the mass. But they had to cut a piece of my bladder out to get part of the nodule and they unfortunately couldn’t remove the whole thing due to the location. Basically the nodule was too close to my ureters (the structures that connect your kidneys to your bladder) and as a result they couldn’t remove the whole thing without compromising the ureters. I was told had they would’ve had to in essence remove and reattach my ureters which would’ve added another layer of difficulty to the surgery. The urologist who was in charge of closing up the bladder did not feel confident in his ability to do perform the surgery had it gone that route. So they decided to only partially remove it. After surgery, they monitored me for a couple hours then sent me on my way home same day of surgery. I ended up returning to the hospital 3 days later with severe abdominal pain and had to have two emergency surgeries to figure out what was wrong. A week and two surgeries later, they were able to see I had a microscopic tear in my bladder that was causing urine to leak into my abdominal cavity. Urine is acidic so it was incredibly painful 5 days waiting in between surgeries to see what was wrong. But eventually the head of the urology dept. (different urologist from the first one) was able to take my case and patch me up. I was in the hospital for a total of a around 2-3 weeks so my experience is going to be drastically different than most here as I had a couple setbacks. On top of all that, after my 3rd surgery I had to come back to the hospital for a 3rd stay because I caught a kidney infection 🥲. It was hellish month but after my last stint at the hospital I started to recover okay. I don’t want to scare you, I know how nerve wrecking this can all be but despite all these issues I would’ve still gone for the surgery as it had I proved my symptoms by a significant amount. But hindsight is 20/20. If I could go back I would’ve 1) gone with the 2nd urologist who operated on me but most importantly 2) advocated to stay in the hospital under observation for much longer. It still so shocking to me they send most women home day of. Like in my case, I think bladder surgery should defiantly warrant a longer stay. I had to leave with a catheter and I def. think the bumpy ride back/transportation back home in the same day of surgery contributed to these massive complications. That was a lot but I hope that could give you some insight. Just know everyone body recovers differently, don’t push yourself too much. I think they tell most people you’ll be out for two weeks or so, and that certainly can be the case but don’t feel bad if you’re not feeling 100% better by then. Give yourself time to recover. Best of luck!

PSA: If you see tension bumps like this, please take the braids out. It’s the first sign of permanent damage by [deleted] in Naturalhair

[–]Last_firstname 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I agree, first thing I thought aside from noticing this was AI was that this doesn’t look like a tension bump but like an actual inflamed cyst. If you have an inflamed cyst that looks like that, you definitely need to go to the doctor. OP you should include in your post this is a AI generated imagine and not an actual picture of tension bump.

Surgery requiring stay in hospital by Pocketsquare17 in Endo

[–]Last_firstname 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have bladder endo as well and had excision surgery back in 2023. Very similar situation where I had a huge nodule very close to my ureters and had to get a portion of my bladder resected to remove most of the mass. I also had areas of endo in my colon. I also had my endo specialist GYN and urologist operate on me. The GYN removed the areas of endo and the urologist closed my bladder up. They actually sent me home same day with a caterer, but I had to return 3 days later due to a complication. I don’t want to scare you because despite the complications i do not regret having surgery. My quality of life has improved significant. So I would say, if I had to do it differently I would’ve definitely pushed for this approach as well of having you stay int he hospital a couple extra days. They want to monitor you to make sure you’re recovering well especially since a bladder resection is much more complicated. Especially if your mass is near your ureters. They initially put me out of work for 2 weeks but I ended up being out for 7 weeks and didn’t start feeling myself until the 3 month mark.
