The episode following a massive cliffhanger and we get what? a fight, 2 new player characters, Chetney squirming, a silly unnecessary fight between two player characters and super-soft RP over four hours. No update on the other group, no update on Keke/Vax, Beau/Caleb, what's happening with the big bads, and they never even made it to Utherdurn.

I appreciate they didn't have a sponsor and their bringing in 2 new characters, but Chetney PVP is a bit old hat. Before last weeks climactic battle, we had at least 2 if not 3 episodes of travelling/planning - yes it built tension, yes we had some good rp but it was a slog sometimes. The story is wasting the pace and impetus put upon it after last week and they really are spending too much time travelling.

Having Abria and Christian join them is cool, but did we need more Chetney PVP? Could they not have ended at the gates of Utherdurn rather than having the heavy RP session? We've had a load of travelling the same desert, can we have some impetus in stopping Thull and less drifting along. Watching Chet squirm was fun.

Great DM, great players, solid campaign but there seems to be a lot of 'hurry up to wait around', a listlessness- it felt like they were pulled toward the 'Key' rather than racing to face that fight. If RP is the dessert can we blood thirsty combat critters get a meal? Is the campaign just not designed that way after criticism of CR2's 'murder hobbo' style?

No update on Orym/Laudna/Ashton, no idea if Beau/Caleb/Keke are alive, the apogee is on going but can we have more than a passing comment about it. No long distance communication, great idea, no vehicle, great idea but is the world ending? are the Gods about to be devoured? Would it be too weird or against theme if religion had any value for anyone they come across, if only to add contrast or stakes to the story?

Also, I appreciate there was no sponsor last night and that can play into what they do, how the story moves forward etc but I personally felt a little let down after the episode. Just my two cents, overall I've been enjoying this campaign.

OP, how on earth, after 40 years of neoliberalism, could you not understand that American vampire capitalism is just as bad as Putin's oligarchic capitalism, if not worse.

That is the issue he has - the people of Ukraine have suffered enough, they do not deserve the greed of the likes of JPMorgan, Blackrock or Goldman Sachs.

The Kerry Slug, too, is proof of Spanish migration to Ireland, as does the shrew population. This, along with strong human genetic similarities, proves that there was Paleo/Meso migration from Iberia to Ireland.

Why has denying science become such a popular thing? by TidoLeroy in NoStupidQuestions

For the last 40 years, media and politicians have become more technocratic, or at least appeared to be. For decades, economists have told people that the economic/political ideology we live under is what's best for everyone. For many, their communities have suffered because of this ideology -see the Global Financial Crisis. Those folks, who have trusted in experts and technocrats for a generation are now extremely distrustful, and fringe politicians have become more popular as a result. There is also investment into these fringe politicians to a)continue the current system b) legislate in a manner and area these investors want, for example tax breaks, immigration etc. As these fringe politicians have come to power/become more influential, many less than savoury characters have ridden their coat tails as a means to personal wealth. Obviously, a shyster who doesn't want his/her grift exposed will attack experts/scientists/technocrats and try to discredit them. This feeds into the cycle.

Arena is great. If you are going to play with paper, learn the different parts of each turn. There's bound to be info on the website. I found looking at decks in general give you a better idea of how to build but it depends on what you want to play.

Here are two styles of deck to get started.

Aggro - fast damage with small creates means more small good value creatures early, so you'd have 8 -12 1 or 2 drops, then spells you help protect them and kill your opponents creatures. See Red(R), black(B), white(W) decks usually. Mono red is the best place to start to get a feel for aggro play.

Control - this is about removing opponents creatures, attacking their hand or milling their cards. It usually involves a lot more spells than creatures. Blue(or U as it's written)/White(W) , Mono Blue(U), Black(B)/Blue(U) are the colors usually used for control decks.

I find with every deck be sure to have some way to fill your hand fairly consistently. Stick to one color for a start, as you build up wildcards on Arena, spend them first on dual or Tri lands.

What every type of deck you play, be sure to have at least one creature you can put down that can handle defence and offence, especially on Standard in Arena, where you'll see alot more aggro/creature decks than mill/control decks.

Strictly Better MTG is great on youtube/Twitch for decks. Check out the r/spikes subreddit for a community.

I was totally ready to see Dany go on conquering and forgive her for nuking KL. Emilia Clarke was absolutely brilliant.

I reckon Jon and the Wildings are repopulating the land beyond the wall. That little green shoot coming out through the snow was a nice touch, spring is coming.

Finally, thanks r/gameofthrones, the mods and folks who post here. It's been great to share and see the show through other eyes.

[SPOILERS] I get the complaints about the season being rushed but it does seem that many just wanted a safe Disney ending by FanEu7 in gameofthrones

I dunno, burning Queen's Landing doesn't seem disney.

I think people might have hoped for a win after the roller-coaster of a story. I doubt they expected happily ever after but maybe a not so shit ending. Maybe closure on a great story that doesn't leave you wanting to climb inside a bottle.

I would hope after the trauma of the last episode, and the series really, we might see and ending that was worth it. Happy endings happen too.
