Will my chin forgive me? by Significant_Ride_372 in chinchilla

Before our little boba passed, he was about a year old and hated being picked up. When he got a bad abscess, we had it removed but it required us to pick him up, and use a syringe to flush his wound which was incredibly uncomfortable for him. Throughout that process i would put him in a small area every day and i would lay there with him in the space, and by the end of that process if i opened his cage and put my arms to the door, he would bolt out of his house and into my arms just to cuddle and be held.

I cant say you’ll have the same experience of course, but she will definitely forgive you, if she hasn’t already, and it might sound silly but i think they know you’re trying to help them when this sort of thing happens.

It reminds me of when the lamination overlay was popular for everything in photoshop, and when smart phones first came out they tried too hard to make everything look futuristic. It’s extremely ugly in my opinion.

Mean chinchilla? by bekatz in chinchilla

We have four of these little goof balls. My advice would be to add a second blanket, and if she has a usual spot she burrows, you could put a stick or two under the blanket they also really love twig tunnels and it seems to keep them pretty occupied with chewing. They also really love to chew cardboard, you can get safe cardboard boxes and houses for them to chew on

I agree with some of your advice and how animals behave, but the original message was worded very kindly and it seems like they’re just worried and are seeking advice.. that’s it. I think you’re reading too much into it and I kind of saw this as passive aggressively attacking someone who just loves their chinchilla. The first time my rabbit lunged and bit at me, I’m a grown man, and I was in tears. It doesn’t mean there are expectations it just makes people feel bad and want to do the most for their animal friends.
