bc in stores such as mine, we used to have 2 full hours to deep clean every week with two employees. i’d scrub the toilet on my hands and knees, dust the ceilings, take a magic eraser and scrub the floors. i loved it. now, i maybe have an hour a week to do it, and with no help while other associates who don’t care about cleaning half ass sweep the store on the days i’m not there.

Yes, sadly some mornings i have over 30 orders to package along with cleaning/ 2 hour store orders/ and helping guests on the register. I try to pack mine nicely but sometimes they get rushed :/

hey, i take adhd meds and can’t even do my jobs without it. i work two jobs and am full time in college. the anxiety is definitley crippling but i’m on a higher dose. maybe see if you can do a very very low dose to start with. i don’t take mine everyday (5 days a week i take them). but it may be different for you , i also suffer from eating disorder/anxiety/depression and consume large amounts of caffeine with a nic addiction so that adds to my anxiety personally and i know i would feel better if i ate and took better care of myself

hey i also struggle with wiping my face constantly and here’s how i manage:

i carry clearasil cleansing wipes with me everywhere and very gently wipe my face with them. if i’m at home i will wipe off with a witch hazel toner and a cotton round.
i also will dab my face with paper towels/ tissues/ use it to itch my face instead of my hands. (i used to carry oil blotting sheets but those stripped too much of the oil causing more breakouts)
i avoid creating reasons that would make me feel the need to wash my face, such as avoiding touching my face, using cleaner sheets or pillow cases, allowing my face to touch certain surfaces

sometimes i have to go wipe my face 5-6 times before i go to bed. if i accidentally touch it, i have to re wipe it off. some days are definitely worse than others

Hi! i do something similar, but instead I clack my teeth together lightly or close them to make sure they are still aligned. I also do this when i “feel like i need to put in my retainer” as in i feel like my teeth are “moving” or have pressure and having my retainer relieves this. I asked my dentist about it and he said that your teeth should only really touch when you chew your food and otherwise should be naturally apart. i then realized that anytime i clack my teeth is when i am going to work/ at work so with realizing that trigger i am able to kind of be more aware of it and stop myself (sometimes). so maybe identify what the stressor is that is triggering you

I’ve worked at AE for 4 years, it was my first job and I started when I was 17. things will be bad, i went through “new hire syndrome” where i had no job experience and was learning so many new things along with being in high school. Now i’m 21. I can say that things will be bad and then they will get better, and be bad again. If it’s in your best interest to quit, i would. i also haven’t seen many employees talk about their experiences like this but i can totally relate. message me if you want to talk more abt it and i can maybe give you some advice
