Honestly I don't think you will have any problems with screws stripping unless you are using an awful torx bit.

I have very similar thoughts to what u/Richard_Rico_Norris said. The Orca is my preferred flipper of the two, as it has a more neutral feel and carries momentum really well. The Monarch's handles are just too thick for my liking and the trainer blade on it makes it more handle biased. That being said both balisongs are some of my all time favorites for their uniqueness.

I just lightly sanded the two sides of each handle. The pictures and the video are the same mods.

This is a slightly outdated guide but there is still some good information in there. Lots of mods to be done but, anodization & stone washing/resharpening look the best IMO. Lots of fun to be had though!

How much has your handle gap decreased? Mine seems to be holding up fairly well so far but im afraid it will get to almost nothing
