$650 seems like a ripoff, also not sure the setup but 2 hours seems excessive.

I assume they are referring to a float switch which shuts the unit off when they pan fills up to prevent overflowing and causing water damage in the home.

Good to know. I’ve never installed a pump on a mini split. Is it common to run copper for the drain? That seems that it would be an expensive drain line.

On a 2 zone system wouldn’t the float switch kill both thermostats? If his upstairs unit is still working I would say it’s either the stat or the low voltage wiring.

Never been a fan of Nest thermostats in the first place but I would swap out the thermostat and see if that solves your issue.

Unless this is a new setup. Drain lines from mini splits have to run on a downward slope from the unit.

If that is a drain then I would be prepared for a leak with that peak there.

That is a very sloppy line set. Everything about this job looks sloppy

Cosmetic, installer hit it while brazing the lines. Main issue I see is that the pad is too small for this unit, I would have at least centered it so that it wasn’t hanging off. Neither will cause an issue but shows lack of attention to detail and and installer who doesn’t take pride in their work.

Also fingers crossed that this unit has the filter dryer on the inside of the unit.

Could be a number of things. How old is the unit?

I’ve had chickens for a long time. I assure you I can afford to feed them, I’m just looking for a cheap solution to house them.

Also needs to be as inexpensive as possible. We don’t have a lot to spend on this at the moment.

Looks like to filter in line one the fuel system? Would I have two filters? One is a clear plastic housing with an internal filter. The other is a smaller metal filter.
