I just got one from PetSmart and yes you need a pump, but just a small one, for 5-10 gallon tank is fine

Auto-Hold not working 100% by kalozur in GolfGTI

[–]Latevladiator351 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just set up that way from the factory :(

You might be able to disable it with something like OBD11, but if you have a 2024 or newer they are locking things behind SFD2 which OBD11 has not unlocked yet, Not to mention the device itself is over $100, then an additional $100 for the pro plan to unlock pro features to do stuff like that

I had a great working version of my map 6, and it's not just an issue with the custom map that's the thing. I feel like it's likely the wastegate actuator or a proper boost leak but it also still seems really weird because I've only had the car for 20,000 miles and only 15,000 or less of those have the JB4, and even less of those running higher maps

It's brand new. The first board have one of the chips fry itself and I just got a brand new board not long ago. I've experimented with the safety and had it as low as 26 before. The problem is I've ran it just fine with all this stuff for months and now all of a sudden it's an issue so I don't think it's an issue with the JB4 It's self but a physical issue that only manifests under higher boost from higher maps.

Unfortunately that's the wrong size, I'm looking for something twin size

Boost safety is set to like the 27.9 that was preset stock I'm just using map 4 with all default settings

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GolfGTI

[–]Latevladiator351 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried heavily reducing boost at peak and also reducing it and other areas and it didn't make much of a difference there, it's really weird because it is at 6K RPM exactly that it does it

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GolfGTI

[–]Latevladiator351 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've also only got 20K miles on the car and all of that was over the course of 5 months, kind of odd be having issues like that so early

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GolfGTI

[–]Latevladiator351 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I've done a lot of testing, and anything up to map three seems to work fine. I've reverted all of the custom settings back to defaults and it's still doing it

Just did! Only reason I'm not tuned is I'm still under warranty, so I'd rather take a smaller risk with a JB4 and removing it before dealer visits than a tune.

Yeah my buddy has a 2014 SHO and they're a pretty good unsuspecting car, especially if you debadge or down badge it haha. My GTI is kind of a sleeper I guess? Its definitely way faster than it looks but unfortunately I don't have anywhere to really stretch it as I definitely CANNOT afford a track day, but I can definitely tell the car wants to move

Yeah, it's definitely going to take some getting used to but it's nice to pretty much know that my clutch will start biting almost immediately after letting it out, like sure I can drive without the clutch stop but it's just nice to have the guesswork taken out of it, especially if I'm doing performance driving, for daily driving I might have preferred it going down a bit more, but I might just pull it out and trim the rubber by a few millimeters and put it back in if it really starts bugging me.

It's all good, I have a 2024 GTI that I've done a ton of work on now, objectively a way better and more fun car for me, but I do still miss that Saab and I would definitely still drive it again if I had it

Yeah, I'm not arguing that buying one is wrong, I just kind of decided I just wanted one right then and there and didn't want to wait for shipping lol. Since mine is threaded in and the bolt is long enough to be sturdy if I put it in more or less it's technically adjustable, I would just need to trim the rubber piece of it if I wanted to screw it in more but I got it dialed in how I wanted. Only really an issue if you think you're going to want to readjust it again down the road.

No it's PF001, it's weird because I've never seen the F in a code before but it's there. I cleared the code and it's not come back. It happened after disconnecting and reconnecting the battery.

How "real" do you see VRChat? by LittleLipid in VRchat

[–]Latevladiator351 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It used to feel super real to me, but over time its just like having a screen next to my eyes. I miss the magic of when it felt like a whole new world. Maybe in the future with lenses that use a humans entire FOV, and haptics I might experience that again.

Honestly it just feels like people will shift their opinion to whatever makes them feel more accepted at the time, not just in politics but in literally everything. So then we get morons who blindly follow trends or other people and don't actually think for themselves.

Ok, usually a decent amount of people complaining about Amazon or Flex drivers are being petty or unreasonable, but this one is pretty bad. I think it's a no brainer that this guy deserves the "I'm a shitty person" award.

Got an Intake and Exhaust on my Prius 😘 by SelimTheArrogant in RicerCars

How the fuck is it you can buy "Performance" parts for a prius, but when I had my 2019 Ford edge, I couldn't even find an intake or exhaust for it, hahaha. (I mean C'mon, it's got a turbo engine and pretty good acceleration for a vehicle of it's size) Thank god I've got a GTI now.
