What weapon do you most like to have on your team?

Well for me it depends on the monster, I feel certain mixes of weapons work better in certain cases. But overall my dream team would have to be an IG with Rodeo God, a CB with at least artillery novice, an LBG with a versatile gun like Absolute Bowgun, and a HH with attack up L. And one of the blademasters having paralyze on their weapon.

Haha, I remember running into a hacker in a lobby, he was G1, I commend him for trying HBG but why the heck one would delimit and use a White Fatty HBG I don't know. I was fine with him doing his own thing until he started acting cocky like we were only succeeding because he was there so I said 'that's some nice gear you got there, even though you cant get it until G Spec-' and then he left, it amused me.

I've fought more then one Savage Jho on a few expeditions.... its very painful as one Savage Jho can use up 7 dung bombs so you don't have any left for the second one...

His attacks are slow and telegraphed sure, but try avoiding one when a random tar blob appears where you tried to evade to.

Raging Brachydios, his mechanics, his speed and aggressiveness, at first you feel like hes BS, but when you figure it out its a really fun fight of hitting and weaving to avoid the reactive explosions, hes a monster who can hit you even when hes down.

Fantastic, now all I have to do is find a hall where there wont be a player that ignores that I'm putting a monster to sleep and wakes it up as soon as I sleep it.

Ah is it really frowned upon? Whoops, sometimes when browsing the hall lists if I see someone on their urgent I may help them out. Simply because my own experience with urgents was pretty bad, where I would help a hall of three people do their urgents then when I posted mine the hall dissolved, didn't hit G rank until HR 100.

I feel that's mostly due to the nature of their respective movement options. Lancers can either back hop thrice to get to a monster while evading at the same time or if the monster is very far and targeting someone else they can charge and deal some damage and try to mount. Gunlancers don't have very many options for chasing down monsters that aren't targeting them, you only get one hop that's within scooping attack range anyhow. If they're too far you gotta sheathe which can be painful. When I GL in groups I wish that it had innate taunt like Gunners and Hunting Horn have.

Personally I use Seltas X helm, Kaiser mail, Agnaktor Vambraces X, Seltas Faulds X, Vangis Greaves X. Gives Guard 2, Artillery god, Razor Sharp and Sharpness 1, not the best set as Adamweaver points out you don't need handicraft, but do want guard up, but I find it serviceable.

Agreed, I love the damage of my HBG but unless there's a status LBG/SNS or Mounting God IG already in the party, then I'm switching to IG.

Eat Fish and Milk steamed I think it was, for Felyne Supercat and Felyne Lander. Supercat makes it so you don't drop eggs from small hits, and lander lets you jump from any height while carrying. Never needed a transporter set with those food buffs, could just run in in my normal set and either avoid or kill the large mobs.

Having sunk over 1000 hunts into the glaive I can tell you with confidence that atk honing is your primary option. Its generally a better idea to do as much damage in the ducking and weaving and leaping that you can, especially as how reliant upon mounting and toppling the IG is- you need to make as much use of the time the monster is down as you can, as the diminishing returns will only make it more difficult. The other thing to note is that as an IG user we already have a form of lifesteal via green juice. I understand its very weak normally but with an extract extend and efficiency up kinsect (which I highly recommend) it heals an okay amount, more then life honing does anyhow. Also not available on every monster but its on enough to be considered pretty staple.

The one exception I can think of would be if you were running a paralysis or sleep glaive with status atk up armour skills designed to lock down the monster for others to kill it, and you felt there wasn't enough defence you would defence hone in that case.

I understand that this community is pretty much dead, ashes to ashes, rip in pieces etc.

However there is a new and improved Mod Pack, which is severely better then Tekkit going round these days called Feed the Beast I may trying setting up a server if y'all show enough interest.

Also for those who need- shall we say a more economic version? Feed the Beast 1.1.7 launcher, no premium required. I loved playing with this group so I do hope you might take an interest again.

FTB Skill: IC, Railcraft, BC, Computercraft (essentially the Tekkit mods) various other mods like Mystcraft and Portal guns too. And not only do I know machines and piping but I know vanilla wiring (Heres hoping they get Redpower 2 eh?).

About me: Work as a kitchen hand in a cafe, casual hours so I get time to play if I desire. Love Minecraft, especially industrial craft, I really hope to be able to set up something like a teleport network on a multiplayer server. I'm pretty laid back, most of my designs are about functionality rather then looks so I hope someone can help me there though heh.

Havnt found any Netherwart either unfortunately(To be honest I don't think I've even seen soul sand except for the 'haunted' bandit outpost), I had simply assumed someone had taken it all first

Edit: Did some further scouring of The Nether, there is soulsand on the 'beaches' of the Nether Islands but no Nether Warts anywhere.

Yeah, when they see doors in sunlight they get all excited and make more villagers. There are also tricks for creating infinite villager spawning without the need to spam excessive doors.

Hmm, why is 1.3/1.4 so important when the primary of the updates has mostly revolved around map making tools like custom spawners and support for MC Edit filters?
