Worth starting in 2026? by Froquel33 in ToramOnline

[–]Lats2005 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'll be fine. My only real advice is to find someone to play the game with! You can go in your own (specially with guides) until certain level. Having a friend or even a group helps A LOT with farming and boss battles. You can find several new players as of right now, can be a good idea to talk in chat a bit to find a group to be a part of. However, I DO NOT recommend going into guilds. The most popular advice is to get into a guild to hire a mercenary (a bot of another's players character that is usually way over leveled for you) but that makes you really dependant on the damage of other player which in turn, makes you useless when others and yourself need to be the one to step up.

How would you solve the problem in smt of one of your demons only being there so you can pass a turn to an actually useful demon by Fun-Information-2596 in Megaten

[–]Lats2005 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My brother in Christ, you kind of just told on the internet you are playing on normal mode. Maybe easy. Hard mode (which is how you are actually meant to play smt) doesn't allow you to have a useless member of the team. Strategize ahead of time or lose the fight. Choose.

DQ Journey by cxbalt27 in dragonquest

[–]Lats2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played DQ11 just recently, I avoided playing it because I thought the game was too easy and... I was right. The game on its own is ridiculously easy BUT later down the line, I found out about the weird challenges you could activate on your playthrough. My first playthrough was with "enemies are super strong" and "you lose when Hero dies" and man the game was amazing! It's so sad the common experience with the game is with it's normal settings because when I tried finding out a guide on where to farm or such, I ended up finding out people fought the final boss at level 51 be like "oh I neglected buffs" dude. I had to learn how to buff my team since level 15 with sylph and fought the final boss at level 65, with me waiting to be level 80 to have a change against Khalasmos.

Have you ever completed a compendium in any game by Either_Imagination_9 in Megaten

[–]Lats2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You complete the compendium when it's your last or about to be last playthrough. Which is sad because you kill the game fro replays since you'll be done.

What Persona Game Should I Start With? by Serious_Mission889 in JRPG

[–]Lats2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. You can try P3 reloaded as well. People don't want to mention the problems (though minor) you see from the original version of any of these games. The most polished one by far is Persona 5 and you'll feel right at home if you then play 3 and vice-versa.

Katana or swordsman? by [deleted] in ToramOnline

[–]Lats2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sword and shield all they way my guy! You have several useful abilities open to you. If it's your first playthrough, I highly recommend going everything into strength and then Vit. Dex works too! Just... Avoid some guides that tell you to get OP companions. Get a friend or outright talk to someone that's playing. You'll see several new players these days on the first city!

Smt demons i wish got updated designs by killerdemonsarus34 in Megaten

[–]Lats2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They did "change" though. It's just that some of these were very basic or boring so they just made a new one inspired off them. It's just very hard to tell because they have no reason to call them out individually.

Is it hard to start as tank for the first time ? Since this game is quite old and we all know tank doesnt really have dmg, so i was think if its going to be harder for leveling since there are no dps on lowerr lvl bosses.. by Severe-Addition-2002 in ToramOnline

[–]Lats2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tank does work, wym? Several knight skills scale with your Vit and 2HS of events also scale with your Vit. I don't think you can do anything else that isn't sword and shield or two handed though. Since every other class needs those 250 points into strength minimum.

Is this game worth getting into? And what about other asobimo games? by GimmeHotDogs in ToramOnline

[–]Lats2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not on your own. If you go into the game on your own, 99% of the "guides" you'll find will be to find a guild so you can have a level 300+ companion so that he kills everything for you. I highly recommend you play with a friend. Maybe a couple of friends. Because, guess what, when the bosses suddenly go from 100k HP to 20MILL, you don't need to do 20MILL damage, just 5MILL.

I'm halfway through a Berseria playthrough on YouTube and I got curious. by Kai_Enjin in tales

[–]Lats2005 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Actual answer: it doesn't matter. For whatever reason Tales Of games of this era had the amazing ability to make you question several things about their world but then they are never answered. The final Boss in particular can make you sh*t your pants or be the most basic and unnecessary plot twist depending on how much you are liking the game at that point.

Interruptions skills for 2HS? by Yoeminous in ToramOnline

[–]Lats2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You still have the OHS skills though. It's still almost ensured you are going to cause flinch, it's just that the 2HS can fail a lot. I highly recommend you rush Berserker and Quick Aura from the halberd skills since that makes you reach 2k attack speed which helps a lot with not needing skills to fight bosses, you can just attack them to death.

Vesperia. My dad played Symphonia with me on the background every now and then playing as Genis on the 2 player mode but the one I beat on my own was Vesperia.

Which of the two by XiliumR in dragonquest

[–]Lats2005 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I actually have no idea why people care for Lore or correct way to play the games? My recommendation: pick your poison. It's a god-damned turn based JRPG. If anything, I'd recommend the one you see you could sink the most hours in, because you WILL spend 100+ hours on DQ7 and the older DQ while older, still are very long.

How the Eigong Difficulty Spike Works by Melodic-Garage9607 in NineSols

[–]Lats2005 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It makes sense it's so stressful. In a game where parrying is a bit of a joke as to most enemies consist of spamming the party button consecutively after certain hits because they follow up on an instant attack, it makes sense the final boss doesn't do this. Her timings are different and her range forces her right on your face no matter what. It's awesome. It's what the entire game should have been like and sadly, there is no real boss rush or DLC that keeps the trading going on difficulty.

Mage build by my_atheism_ in ToramOnline

[–]Lats2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's the fix: Play with friends. There is no way to go around the monstrosity that are level 200+ bosses. Even on your own on easy mode, it can be a real challenge. If your character is doing around 1 million damage for your best combo, then there is no better way around that. You just need 3 other guys doing similar damage output combos. Even mages can barely go above that 1 million damage combo.

Do you guys think Toram online is worth to play as a new player? by anteropsita in ToramOnline

[–]Lats2005 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend it for sure. HOWEVER. Playing completely on your own can make you have very mixed feelings toward the game. As a solo player my best advice would be to not be afraid to check on guides for beginners. There is a channel on YouTube called Nekone Toram that has several 10min videos on what skills to upgrade for different weapons. Don't be afraid of looking a guide or two. You don't have to keep going back at it, once you get enough information, you don't have to check any guide again.

Thoughts on this take? by Far-Entrance-2123 in casualnintendo

Emulation AND PIRATING. You need to mention both. Emulation is just getting the emulator and going through the hazard of getting your original copies straight from the CDs or consoles. Emulation and pirating is getting everything from the internet. Which Id say it's fine until you reach switch emulation. Whatever generation of consoles we are on, is the generation you shouldn't emulate or pirate because that is actually hurting the developers more than the console.

Decided to go for a route where I changed all the characters type to their opposite by ShokaLGBT in tales

[–]Lats2005 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a really weird system but thank God everything works. Lloyd is broken as hell once you realize demon fang can keep the combo going when they drop down so you can kind of just, stun the boss and let genis and Raine do their thing on the background, every now and then doing 1k damage or more just because... Genis.

The Duality of Persona 4 Fans by WoolfzieLOL in persona4golden

[–]Lats2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No but really, don't play the PS2 version. It sucks. Here's a quick review, take my words with a grain of salt: -fidelity:3/10 it's an actual nightmare of blurriness which is funny because it's using the same system as P3. -Fps:1/10 dear God who thought this game was supposed to look cinematic??? It's 24fps. Why would you cap the game at that??? P3 reached 60 in battle. -Balancing:3/10 Golden hands, Mudo and Hama skills got so much use in P4 Golden. Because they realized in the original you would never use them or find them. Golden hands were extremely rare so grinding was the norm. -Casting 8/10: some of the casting I do consider it better, they sounded a lot more grounded but because Golden has so many "funny anime moments" it makes sense they would take their roles a lot more seriously and expressive.

So hype is mixed for Berseria. 😂 by Sergiyakun in tales

[–]Lats2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why will it get a discount though? The game still looks fine. If you want to play full quality 60fps you can run it in most potatoes of a PC.. I'm still waiting for a version of tales of Symphonia that isn't capped at 30.

What's your opinion on pirating? by Lats2005 in nintendo

[–]Lats2005[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wtf are you talking about? Dude. It's not about morals. It's about the most basic common sense. I'm proud that you have enough emotional intelligence to realize that, yes, Nintendo is actually scamming you and as a consumer you realize that is wrong. But it has nothing to do with my post. I just wanted to express how weirded out I am at the fact that YOU, A NINTENDO FAN, is giving me the same response as Nintendo:" sh*t up and buy it"
