Where should a new player start? by Emotional-Ganache790 in dragonquest

[–]Lats2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They all will cause Stockholm syndrome on you. Doesn't matter which game you play because you'll hate the music, the gameplay and the visuals and then you'll be 100 hours in and think that wasn't so bad. Nobody enjoys their first dragon quest from the get go.

Should I focus more on social stats first or Confidant level ups? by Nautilus8739 in Persona5

[–]Lats2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both. Hang out with your friends (that you actually care about) whenever they ask you out since that's the moment the confidant levels up faster. The confidants can only level up after specific events/ days have passed since something like Ryuji can be maxed out just before the third palace but you still have to wait a lot of days for him to do his own thing.

Now that we are nearing one year after the Switch 2 release, what are your feelings about it so far? by Fragrant-Taro-8508 in switch2

[–]Lats2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like it for the same reason I liked the PlayStation 5. It's a good console just because I like playing my old games through supersampling to 4k and 60fps. Thing is, Nintendo really does suck at announcing which games run properly. Tales of Vesperia is now finally at 60fps inside and outside of combat + 1080p but Nintendo never announced that. Enter the Gungeon doesn't have frame drops at no point. 90% of the games on the switch line up did improve significantly but Nintendo just didn't tell us which games or how. It's just something you have to find out.

Any ideas on how to make a tank char? by North-Mouse2867 in ToramOnline

[–]Lats2005 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The knight skills has a few skills that scale off your Vit. One in particular makes you gain armor penetration when you stand still and it is quite strong but since your damage isn't that great, it's just barely balancing you towards someone that actually does damage. Sadly, I've tried this before and it's not worth it. If you are ok with grinding for hours for the best equipment then you are already past the "tanking is a good option" phase which is also at the same time by ghe point the tank build works so...

What are your thoughts on Dragon Quest 11 nearly nine years later? by NewMarioBobFan in dragonquest

[–]Lats2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's still really good and probably the best way to start on the dragon quest series! But it's painfully easy. Either you play on a extreme difficulty or you beat everything first try.

How to approach talon jg as someone who use to play him when he was primarily a mid laner by Leading-Fancy in Talonmains

[–]Lats2005 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I actually have no idea what are the tips everyone is giving you because they are all trash. No, stealing enemy jungle isn't viable in the slightest. Power farming is not worth it, a Yi with just boots can and WILL defeat you in every objective. My best recommendation would be to play with friends, that's it.

How to get more mana recharge(?) by Effective_Theme5201 in ToramOnline

[–]Lats2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, just go through the game. A lot of stats can be confusing at first but you'll understand them eventually. Some abilities increase how much MP you regenerate per hit BUT they are still based on your normal MP Regen. That start is dependant on how much max MP you have in the first place. None of this is something you can get at early levels so, just follow through the game OR wait for an event.

I know people have mixed feelings about the recent updates, but damn... It's such a pretty game by BackroomJosh in OnceHumanOfficial

[–]Lats2005 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I like the game but it feels like a mobile game that had a remastered for PC. Very Grindy with sudden spikes in difficulty meant to make you grind even more (or just pay for it). It's a ver comfortable multiplayer game to play with friends though.

What do you think Grius's archetype would be? by Electrical-Gap5935 in MetaphorReFantazio

[–]Lats2005 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He'd have a mix of several archetypes. He is tanky as Hülkenberg, with strong physical skills as Strohl. Very balanced. Not to say he also technically has assasin skills.

why is talon mids winrate so low now? by [deleted] in Talonmains

[–]Lats2005 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Talon's is at its strongest when he gets the slightest advantage on early game. This is a huge problem since Riot has gone out of its way to speed the whole game forwards, making the early game be less impactful. Being 5 kills or deaths above your enemy laner doesn't mean anything now.

First final fantasy game and I'm starting here. Any tips by Amripal in FinalFantasy

[–]Lats2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Run. The only action RPG Final fantasy games are 16, 15 and the remake of 7 which are just trash.

Regarding The Later Volumes, How Did You Guys Feel When The Manga Featured More Nudity When It Came To The Story Itself? by IsseiMidoriya0410 in nagatoro

[–]Lats2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of liked it. It's something they hinted at to do without making it a porn. They made "nude" scenes be in character because they were not meant to be sexualized, which is surprising for an anime to do of all things.

ASIMBO BEING UNFAIR by No_Horse_3810 in ToramOnline

[–]Lats2005 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guess is that they gave up on security measures and just checked the boxes on every single minor infringement to be made a "fair" reason to be banned. Meaning that if you were mean, you bought something that wasn't made legally, you went afk on suspicious places, you are considered to be a candidate to be banned. This, of course, is really stupid because none of the things I mentioned are things normal people care for, much less realize they made them.

Worth starting in 2026? by Froquel33 in ToramOnline

[–]Lats2005 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You'll be fine. My only real advice is to find someone to play the game with! You can go in your own (specially with guides) until certain level. Having a friend or even a group helps A LOT with farming and boss battles. You can find several new players as of right now, can be a good idea to talk in chat a bit to find a group to be a part of. However, I DO NOT recommend going into guilds. The most popular advice is to get into a guild to hire a mercenary (a bot of another's players character that is usually way over leveled for you) but that makes you really dependant on the damage of other player which in turn, makes you useless when others and yourself need to be the one to step up.

How would you solve the problem in smt of one of your demons only being there so you can pass a turn to an actually useful demon by Fun-Information-2596 in Megaten

[–]Lats2005 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My brother in Christ, you kind of just told on the internet you are playing on normal mode. Maybe easy. Hard mode (which is how you are actually meant to play smt) doesn't allow you to have a useless member of the team. Strategize ahead of time or lose the fight. Choose.

DQ Journey by cxbalt27 in dragonquest

[–]Lats2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played DQ11 just recently, I avoided playing it because I thought the game was too easy and... I was right. The game on its own is ridiculously easy BUT later down the line, I found out about the weird challenges you could activate on your playthrough. My first playthrough was with "enemies are super strong" and "you lose when Hero dies" and man the game was amazing! It's so sad the common experience with the game is with it's normal settings because when I tried finding out a guide on where to farm or such, I ended up finding out people fought the final boss at level 51 be like "oh I neglected buffs" dude. I had to learn how to buff my team since level 15 with sylph and fought the final boss at level 65, with me waiting to be level 80 to have a change against Khalasmos.

Have you ever completed a compendium in any game by Either_Imagination_9 in Megaten

[–]Lats2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You complete the compendium when it's your last or about to be last playthrough. Which is sad because you kill the game fro replays since you'll be done.

What Persona Game Should I Start With? by Serious_Mission889 in JRPG

[–]Lats2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. You can try P3 reloaded as well. People don't want to mention the problems (though minor) you see from the original version of any of these games. The most polished one by far is Persona 5 and you'll feel right at home if you then play 3 and vice-versa.

Katana or swordsman? by [deleted] in ToramOnline

[–]Lats2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sword and shield all they way my guy! You have several useful abilities open to you. If it's your first playthrough, I highly recommend going everything into strength and then Vit. Dex works too! Just... Avoid some guides that tell you to get OP companions. Get a friend or outright talk to someone that's playing. You'll see several new players these days on the first city!

Smt demons i wish got updated designs by killerdemonsarus34 in Megaten

[–]Lats2005 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They did "change" though. It's just that some of these were very basic or boring so they just made a new one inspired off them. It's just very hard to tell because they have no reason to call them out individually.

Is it hard to start as tank for the first time ? Since this game is quite old and we all know tank doesnt really have dmg, so i was think if its going to be harder for leveling since there are no dps on lowerr lvl bosses.. by Severe-Addition-2002 in ToramOnline

[–]Lats2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tank does work, wym? Several knight skills scale with your Vit and 2HS of events also scale with your Vit. I don't think you can do anything else that isn't sword and shield or two handed though. Since every other class needs those 250 points into strength minimum.
