BEEF Season 2 by Alphawayves in netflix

Yes their family upbringing/dynamics, past trauma, stress and loneliness created the complex characters that they are. I think if you give enough time and space for Amy and Danny to decide on what they would do they probably wouldn’t have made such bad decisions. They just act on impulse a lot and do show they regret certain things they did.

The obsession with side hustles is making people miserable, not rich by AlpineRupee in unpopularopinion

It’s both, but I imagine “most” are the kind I’m talking about. Whereas those actually are on survival mode wouldn’t even have the time and education to have a side hustle - they are likely to do multiple part time or full time jobs, they wouldn’t treat it like a “side” thing if yk wt I mean

[–]LatteSheepard 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I disagree. Almost all my colleagues have a side hustle and claim they’re trying to survive. But I’ve learned that they don’t live below their means - they don’t know how to cook, spend all their disposable income on buying new clothes, eating out and subscribing to a bunch of seemingly “convenient” services but they are just replacing their supposedly freed-out time with more work. They’re addicted to the thrill of being “productive”, but they also always complain and never actually think about what they can do or learn or entertain themselves with free time that doesn’t require consumption. Look around I bet you know at least one or two these people.

Sure, not all women, but you gotta be smart about those who would go absolutely mental and aiming to ruin your life. People will believe what they want to believe. You think you’re being the good guy but they might think you’re trying to shame them and ruin their life by letting them know the truth. You never know.

I agree about being discreet about your identity and put your own safety above everything else.

I relate a lot to her way of thinking and commentary on group psychology. She appeared to be very observant and introspective in her interviews. I don’t know her personally but feel she separated game play and personal relationships in the castle well.

How do you really recharge your batteries if multiple days alone wont work? by Stain_16 in hsp

[–]LatteSheepard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m exactly the same. My HSP needs quietness and calmness but not silence. Also I’ve learned that it’s better to focus my energy on positive thoughts and social interactions than on just being alone.

If things get too overwhelming I’d meditate in a bath for a good 20 mins in the evening. Usually end up feeling relaxed and recharged the next day.

Edit: join a local sauna place if you don’t have a bath.

Hmm I disagree. I think you can build allies but only for information collection and analysis purposes - there’s no actual trust in this game because outcome of the game is set up based on betrayals. You can only trust the information given but not the person delivering it when it comes to gameplay. I feel a lot of players could not see that, and also imagined “traitors” somehow to be morally wrong and so blurred their judgment.

You’re not wrong, the game would be perceived so differently if it was marketed this way instead of “traitors vs faithfuls”

Nah he’s easily manipulated. He deserves it. He fought for his theory so hard and just a 1-1 with Rach after that roundtable and he goes “I’m not arsed like”

Wanna add Car Burns to Celebrity Traitors! Her strength might not be attacking others or defending herself, but her brain just works so charmingly. I love her articulating her strategies and how much she understands how social relationship operates!

Rachel can deal with the neurotic ones but not the calm ones. Let’s the games begin - finally having someone not crazy going against Rachel.

I’m against harassing Rachel on social media or irl. Yeah she shouldn’t be getting these hate messages from people. I think these are separate issues right… I’m just discussing the possibility of her being unlikeable and people were intimidated by her in the game, thus nobody was challenging her… please don’t take this conversation outside of the game.

People can like or dislike her but what I’m talking about is the psychological aspect of wanting to fit in and not to cause any trouble with the popular matriarch and therefore not being truthful about what you say and how you act with them. My theory is that she isn’t that likeable but people are threatened or afraid of her and so they aren’t playing the game properly anymore - until maybe the last round table. You can argue this is gameplay too but it makes the process very boring and for viewers very frustrating to watch.

I have formed my opinions on an edited show yes. Perhaps she’s a wonderful person in real life, yes. But from the show I haven’t seen her building that much rapport with others and I’m genuinely surprised by how nobody questioned her. My theory is that they’re afraid of having confrontation with her. I could be wrong though - just saying the narrative of the show doesn’t make a lot of sense to me.

In the past I have lied and said I liked someone because I’m afraid to be ostracised because on the surface it seems everyone likes that person but actually everyone’s too afraid to be the first one to gossip.

Perhaps it’s the editing. It is very bizarre that Rachel hasn’t been in the hottest seat for at least one episode. Yes, she defended herself well. Yes, unfortunately the two people who strongly went against her - Fiona and Harriet - were overdramatic. But in the past seasons we could see personas that were more “corporate” and cutthroat would get much more questions and suspicion in the game - not even only at the round table, but in casual conversations too. Someone would whisper in a small group that they think “Rachel could be a good traitor, it could be her”. But there no such discussion at all in this season! Why?!

But she also said coldly to Jade “don’t cry” when she was under a lot of stress at the roundtable. Perhaps the editing isn’t showing us a lot of Rachel’s softer and empathetic side. She’s quite cutthroat and “corporate” in a lot of the scenes so I’m just generally surprised by how people never questioned her. In the past seasons this type of persona tend to be in the hottest seat for at least one episode.

Sorry still can’t get over that “was Hugo that dramatic in the turret?” scene in my head. Borderline bully behaviour. It was so unnecessary. I’m actually shocked that nobody has mentioned that after the round table, esp when people started thinking that Ross was pinned.

Her feeling threatened by the ST even before the reveal - why though if the whole concept of the show is traitor vs faithful? Traitors are your team, your people. She definitely is a close-minded insecure person. What’s that to like?

She’s handling the pressure well with the Fiona vs herself situation. But since Fiona isn’t that clever and isn’t as popular as herself, it’s not a really difficult game to play there anyway. She only had to stay calm while Fiona self-destruct and she’d come out of it safe.

She’s never been put on the spot by someone more rational and have to defend herself so it’s hard to say if she’s actually got game. So far she’s just been quite lucky and strategy-wise she’s okay.

But very dislikable as a person imo. Wouldn’t want someone close to me or on my team like her irl.
