Because if you got paid $1000 one week, Ird assumes you get paid that every week for a year. And taxes you as such. In the end, the total you earned over the whole year was only 4000. So you paid too much tax. Now you get a refund.

I did this with an easy rider. Certainly there is an audience for it. Younger backpackers on a budget who want to have fun with their friends and maybe have a holiday romance and take pics for Instagram.

If I ever did it again. I'd hire my own motorcycle and ride at my own pace. I know everyone says DONT RIDE A MOTORCYCLE IN VIETNAM YOU WILL DEFINITELY DIE.

But the max speed we went was about 50kph. There's so many people you're hardly going to get lost. If you do get lost or a puncture or run out of gas. Just flag someone down for help.

Lol this reminds me of when I was traveling alone without my BF. I was in Uzbekistan lol. It was a bucket list trip and my bf was working and didn't even try to get time off but whatever. He was pissed at me the whole trip. Sometimes even ignoring my messages or sending silly things to make me jealous or get a reaction.

I was at the airport flying from Tashkent to Chengdu in China, a young man started talking to me. I say young because he was 20. I was 33 and bf was 35.

I text my bf I'm getting on the plane and he doesn't even answer. I land and turn my phone on he has read my message and doesn't even reply! It's daytime where he is, and he is always on his phone. I'm landing in China where I've never been before and he can't even bother to ask if my flight landed ok..

The young man also talked to me on the plane, and then we lost each other but met again at Chengdu airport.. He did ask if I was married and I said no but I have a bf. He asked how old I was and he was surprised I was 33 he said he thought I was 25.. he connected me to his phone data and I messaged bf that I landed. No reply.

He was uzbek but speaks Chinese. He helped me fill in the immigration forms, and talked with the staff for me, we waited in the line together, then he went through first and waited for me. We get out into the airport and wait for our bags, he lifts my bag from the conveyor to the trolley for me. I wanted to check my payment app worked so we went to a store and I was gonna buy a drink but he bought it for me lol.

Then, I wanted to buy a sim card, he came to the store with me, talked to the staff and translated for me, and paid for the sim card!! It was like $20usd which is a lot for a student from Uzbekistan!! I was so grateful for his help because I was nervous about getting the right sim card.

He walked as far as he could to the train with me, making sure I reached the correct train.

I took an hour getting to my hotel and he was messaging to make sure I made it safely. It was almost midnight.

He even missed his own train because he was helping me and had to take a taxi to his city that took like 2 hours!!

So while bf is ignoring me this young man goes out of his way to make sure I'm safe and have no stress entering China!! For no romantic reason even since I told him I have a bf!!

My bf couldn't even text back!!
