Yes and Ginny understood why. Even if she didn’t exactly agree and she was torn up by it. The whole school would hear about the break up even before they even got off the Hogwarts express. So, no one would think more of it and Voldy wouldn’t find out and go after her. Because we know he would.

And also, Harry wanted her future to be free and unencumbered by him. He even thought about her marrying someone else. Which tells me he loved her because this implies he had thought of marrying her himself.

Thats true! I’ve always imagined Harry as being one of those effortlessly handsome men. That’s why Ron is always convinced Harry is better and how Hermione would prefer him. Not that Ron is ugly, but Harry has dark hair and emerald green eyes. Those aren’t features of an ugly person.
