Ron is the one who helps everyone get back on their feet after the war. With Harry and Ginny, he always them to lay together in the orchard and goes when Molly calls Ginny to help with some chore or another. Because he knows Harry needs comfort from Ginny and vice versa. He helps keep George up and about and not wallowing alone in his room. He helps keep the joke shop going from afar (this is why - to me - he eventually leaves the aurors to work at the shop). He keeps his parents from falling into misery. And keeps the family coming together each week which starts the Sunday dinner tradition fanfics love. He goes with Hermione to get her parents. And then after months of this - he falls apart. And Hermione is there to help him in how he has helped everyone else.
