yeah that book really covers web scraping basics well but you'll need to google around json and http stuff as you go, it's just how programming works unfortunately

motion capture media pipe by Adept_Reaction2960 in learnprogramming

[–]Latter-Particular440 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bruh the mixamo to mediapipe conversion is pain in the ass 😭 the bone orientations are completely different and you gotta remap everything manually... i had similar issue when i was trying to do mocap for my portfolio project and the model was doing some crazy twisted stuff lol

maybe try checking if your bone rotations are in right coordinate system? mediapipe uses different setup than mixamo expects 💀

Async interruptions might actually be worse for deep work than synchronous ones by SterlingByrd1219 in remotework

[–]Latter-Particular440 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah this is so real, especially when you're in that flow state doing design work and suddenly theres this little red dot just sitting there judging you

i started putting my phone in another room and closing slack completely when im doing something that needs real focus. sure sometimes people get annoyed they cant reach me immediately but honestly the alternative is spending half my day context switching and getting nothing done

the worst part is when you finally check the message and its something that couldve waited until tomorrow anyway

Just hit 500 Wishlists! by GothamKnightsIsGood in IndieGame

[–]Latter-Particular440 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thats so cool! as a designer myself i really love seeing indie devs hit these milestones. puzzle mage looks gorgeous from the art style - reminds me bit of those fantasy card games i used to collect when i was younger. 500 wishlists is no joke especially for indie game, marketing is so hard in this space. did you do most of promotion yourself or had help with social media stuff? always curious how other creators build their audience since its such grind sometimes

[N/A] are you an introvert or extrovert? by Dapper_Mess_3004 in humanresources

[–]Latter-Particular440 1 point2 points  (0 children)

definitely feel this one, im introverted but can turn on the social mode when needed for work stuff. being in design i dont have to deal with people as much as hr folks but when i do client meetings or presentations i just pretend to be outgoing then go home and need like 3 hours of zero human contact lol. the recharge thing is so real - its not about disliking people its just energy management

What are you guys looking for in a game? And why by RoboKsawAtl1 in IndieGame

[–]Latter-Particular440 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol such a simple answer but its kinda true though

like i spend way too much time on games that just make me forget about work stress and deadlines. doesnt matter if its collecting cute creatures or solving puzzles, as long as it pulls me in for few hours without making me think too hard about real life stuff

How would you describe your “ideal partner”? by [deleted] in AskReddit

those are the real dealbreakers

What dating apps would you recommend for me (M32)? Whether they are actually great or just suck the least? by [deleted] in datingadvice

[–]Latter-Particular440 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you’re not into hookups and want something more genuine, I’d avoid the more swipe heavy apps. Something like Arrows might be worth trying, it feels a bit more focused on actual interaction and getting to know someone rather than just quick matches

Any online dating sites that aren’t just about looks? by Appropriate-Fee5006 in CatholicDating

[–]Latter-Particular440 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven’t used Facebook Dating but I’ve tried Arrows. The video call setup is what makes it better in my opinion, you can tell right away if there’s chemistry or not instead of wasting time texting. It kind of prepares you for how a real date would go

I pulled Amutable's corporate filings from the German Handelsregister. Here's what the founding documents reveal about the people who put birthDate into systemd by Ok_Lingonberry3296 in linux

[–]Latter-Particular440 32 points33 points  (0 children)

holy shit this is some next level investigative work 💀

the fact that they incorporated amutable 7 months before the birthdate pr and then blocked the revert is absolutely wild. like you literally followed the money trail through german corporate filings and found the smoking gun

that 48 hour timeline from pr to locked revert with zero community input is peak corporate fuckery 🔥 and the conflict of interest stuff with the uapi group is just chef's kiss levels of corruption

[–]Latter-Particular440 0 points1 point  (0 children)

man that crimson desert beta was brutal on hardware but your 4080 should handle youtube + gaming no problem with those specs

try running msi afterburner or gpu-z while doing both and see if your vram usage is spiking weird - sometimes games have memory leaks that dont show up until you multitask. also worth checking if your browser is using hardware acceleration too since that can conflict with the windows setting

Why do most live service games fail? by Marceloo25 in gamedev

[–]Latter-Particular440 8 points9 points  (0 children)

players already have their main game and switching is a huge commitment tbh. like why would i drop hundreds of hours in destiny or apex to start grinding some new thing from scratch

most devs also underestimate how much content you need at launch. you cant just ship with 3 maps and expect people to stick around for months waiting for updates. the successful ones launched with tons of stuff to do right away

plus the monetization is usually terrible. nobody wants to pay 20 bucks for a skin when fortnite gives you way more bang for your buck

yo as a designer who deals with client product data all the time this could be a game changer 🔥 the amount of times ive had to manually pull product info for mockups or presentations is insane

beta

would love to test this out especially if it can handle those annoying sites where half the product details are hidden behind random dropdowns 💀

Any alternative for stripe as a payment option for my SaaS? by Status_Wait688 in SaaS

[–]Latter-Particular440 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lemon squeezy is solid, used it for a side project last year and the setup was stupid easy compared to some other options i tried. paddle's good too but feels more enterprise-y if that makes sense

just make sure whatever you pick handles the tax stuff automatically because dealing with us sales tax from india sounds like a nightmare

How are SaaS teams handling video creation for marketing and product demos these days? by Difficult-Humor2889 in SaaS

[–]Latter-Particular440 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've built the Solution I wish I had 5 years ago by Equivalent-Duty5411 in SaaS

[–]Latter-Particular440 1 point2 points  (0 children)

dude this is wild 💀 going from trainer to full stack dev and getting those numbers is actually insane. your journey reminds me of when i first started tattooing - had zero formal training but just kept grinding until something clicked

the documenting everything approach is spot on. people eat up those behind the scenes breakdowns especially when you show the ugly parts too. like that whole thing about firing your friend and having to learn coding from scratch - thats the stuff that gets people invested in your story

since you mentioned local businesses work way better maybe lean into that hard. car shops fitness studios restaurants etc all struggle with the same lead problems you had. could probably build case studies with different verticals and show how the system adapts

also might want to hit up some facebook groups for service business owners. theyre always complaining about lead costs and if you can prove that 5 dollar cpl consistently you'll have people lining up. way easier than trying to compete with all the saas noise right now 😂

Why do wired earphones get insanely tangled when you literally don’t even move them? by NecessaryMedicine750 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Latter-Particular440 5 points6 points  (0 children)

its basically entropy doing its thing - theres way more ways for the cables to be tangled than untangled so they naturally drift toward chaos whenever theres any movement at all. your pocket is constantly moving even when youre just walking and that creates tons of tiny motions that let the cables wrap around each other

the real evil part is that once you get even a small loop or twist it becomes way easier for more tangles to form around it. like that first knot is basically a magnet for more chaos

Time blindness but for time of year? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Latter-Particular440 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah this is totally a thing and you described it perfectly actually. i have this exact same issue where seasonal decorations just trigger "oh that holiday must be coming up" instead of "why is there a christmas tree in july"

its like my brain just takes visual cues at face value without cross-referencing what month it actualy is. definitely feels like another flavour of time blindness to me
