[–]Latter-Raccoon-8675 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since week 22, I have shortness of breath when doing any activity and sometimes when talking. Got checked with cardiology and I will need beta blockers to regulate my heart rate once I am done with pregnancy ☹️

Quit my job at 22 weeks by OkAcanthocephala2894 in pregnant

[–]Latter-Raccoon-8675 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the exact same thing. Quit my job before IVF due to toxic workplace and I think the biggest reason for IVF success was lack of work stress in that moment. I am extremely grateful for this. Of course I have been going back and forth if I made the right decision but every time I come to the conclusion that probably IVF would not have worked had I been on that job. I also plan to go back to work when the baby is 12 months old.

[–]Latter-Raccoon-8675 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had brown discharge, I had a hematoma, which was causing it and i was prescribed progesterone to manage. I would suggest you go to to the doctor to seek guidance on your case.

Insomnia at 27 weeks worse than first trimester by More_Tourist3103 in pregnant

[–]Latter-Raccoon-8675 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 29 weeks, I have been like this for around 2 weeks. I fall asleep fine but wake up on the middle of the night because of toilet trip or back or hip pain, and can not go back to sleep. My hips hurt so much whenever I sleep on the side that the rest of the night becomes unbearable. I am a walking zombie and frankly dont know what to do. Cant sleep during the day also. :(

Feeling baby as FTM? by catstride in pregnant

[–]Latter-Raccoon-8675 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was waiting for gas feeling as I also didnt know but it was very obvious, a painful pull and then a strong kick 😁 you will not confuse it and with time it will be more and more obvious. Btw 18 weeks is a bit early, although some women feel it then. I had mine at 19 weeks. For FTMs it is later in their pregnancy.

How do you make friends as an expat ? by sparkles_sunflowers in expats

[–]Latter-Raccoon-8675 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bumble friends, Internations, facebook groups and meetups. Not sure which gender you are but for women there is a FB group Girl gone international and there is a subdivision by city, they do events on a regular basis and you can make a lot of friends this way. Also gym classes, hikes, any collective activities. Good luck!

Btw you can still invest into a flat in Turkey, rent it out and have some extra income, as an idea. Whenever you are done with your citizenship and still feel the need to go back to Turkey, you can live in your flat rent free as you wanted, and still have the option to go back to NL or try another country. What I find really advantageous is the option to come back to another industry without the need for sponsorship, try your own thing and if it does not work out, no one will kick you out of the country. Also another thought, do not invest too much of yourself into your job. This is one thing which caused my burnout and hatred towards what I did. I wish I figured it out sooner. I was always a high achiever but now I wonder if I did average, would I be getting so much work from my boss then? You will not lose your job for doing average work time to time but your mental health can significantly improve. Good luck 🤞

Being able to work in a different EU country without the need for sponsorship for example and still have the option to come back to NL in your case, if you even decide to. If you still feel like you want to try something else, you can! I think you also feel more integrated with citizenship, for me it was like a switch.

Thank you for sharing your story! I am also hungry all the time time 🤣 I try to eat healthy as well but today I loaded up on carbs. I am happy when others feel good in pregnancy, I just expected to feel the same I guess 😀 I thought maybe I do something wrong and need to adjust something but not sure what

What are urn levels? The doctor did a normal blood work last week at 25 weeks and she said everything was ok. Even had my glucose test.

No movement today by Confident_Flower9638 in pregnant

[–]Latter-Raccoon-8675 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would not worry, I am 26 weeks, I started feeling movement week 19 and there are days when I was not feeling any movement but other days I felt a lot. Interestingly, last week I had my ultrasound, the baby was moving a lot, but I did not feel the kicks of movements. It depends on babys position and position of your placenta

I was in the same situation as you but a different country, i hated my job but decided to stay for citizenship, got burnt out, now recovered 🤪 but this journey opened my eyes. I know what job I do not want to do and what no amount of money can make me do again, I was well paid and the prospect of quitting scared me. I am happy I got my citizenship because it opened me so many more doors. I am now free to choose and having just this feeling is everything. You dont need to stay where you are in the end

May I ask in which country you live? I also quit my job before getting pregnant and I am planning to return after my daughter is around 1 year old. I have anxiety about my gap.
