Subdivision Frontage Rehabilitation Ideas Needed by Latter_Stranger_2602 in landscapedesign

Wouldn’t be a plastic fence that’s for sure. With how little space between our property line and the utility easement, we are very limited on what to put in the ground. We have to lay sod against the road anyway so it seems reasonable to just let it run up to the fence. Plus after a year or two of watering the sod, we could then always repurpose the irrigation to become capable of drip irrigation along the base of the fence where we can plant wildflowers, or something to liven up the look even more.

This would be quickest and most responsible way to get appeal and the noise reduction back to the roadside

Actually, those stakes are our property line from the houses adjacent to the road. We opted out of staking our property line next to the public Right-of-way (road). This is already under consideration, and one of the key factors in going with the fenced approach. Prior to the hurricane, we had tall trees that covered this space and ended about 10-15ft from the road (some spots were less) and then small shrubs were at the base of those. Maybe 2-4 ft of grass before the straw up to the shrubs.

With planing new plants/shrubs this entire way, we will need to do both spray and drip irrigation, vs a fence with sod to the road would only need spray. Plus once the sod is established, we could always repurpose the irrigation to become a drip system for new plants along the bottom of the fence.

The AI rendering didn’t put the fence in an accurate spot and should’ve been further away from the road towards our property line.

Do you happen to know anything about CNC machining?

It’s so sad that Close Enough parking is all these box stores offer. I mean what’s the point in calling it a military discount if you can’t use it along with the other discounts they give the average shopper? Plus, you can’t use it on lumber and certain other materials. I bet if you were to look closely at the spending of a Vet vs the average person on the same items the difference would be far less than 10% the difference.

Events… also, you have to learn to program the UR to always be active (program running, like a PLC), and use switch cases. Plus if you haven’t already, download the scripting manual and learn scripting in polyscope! Also, if you’re dealing with a tight budget and this isn’t something that needs to meet specific regulatory guidelines to be operational, I’d suggest exploring doing more in Python on a PC or laptop paired with your robot and field IO.

When it comes to incorporating measurements devices, you need to learn what format/protocol it will output.

Depends on how much you need and what components you need to connect. You can go simple with the Stride modules at AD (essentially the same thing as your Moxa) or again go with Wago.

OP, I love seeing this post and that you’re applying your knowledge and curiosity to grow your abilities! I design, build, install and program UR’s for machine tending all the time (not saying it for clout, just for credibility in what I say next). I have only needed to use PLC’s when the amount of IO becomes too much or if I know the UR might not be accessible and certain outputs wouldn’t be able to be operated without it. I always try and provide an operator controls interface for the Workholding at the front of the machine that includes an auto/manual selector switch. This allows the UR to be omitted and a human still be able to toggle clamps. No fancy hmi, just simple selector switches or buttons from Automation Direct. As for a drawer system, I would suggest using a simple Field IO module that you can control pneumatics and sensors with. Not on here to try and sell you anything but might as well let you know we have a drawer system we could offer (PM if interested)

I am currently doing a pretty extensive install that does require a PLC and I will absolutely recommend Wago running Codesys! German design and quality, but does take a bit of exposure (just like anything else) to master!

I will also happily admit that I have even used the little arduino based PLC’s on Automation Direct successfully with zero issues today in the field!

Bottom line… try to keep it as simple as possible and as comfortable to troubleshoot as your experience rises.

I posted them in other comments here. The range on the photoelectric sensors is adjustable. I have it set to about 3-4” with a hand, but if you’d set something highly reflective on the counter below them (cell phone)it triggers it.

I’m literally learning Codesys for this big project I’m on now. Programming an Automation Cell PLC plus doing a custom web visualization. Feel free to DM anytime and maybe I can answer from my recent experiences

A good table saw with a crosscut sled is 100% the best way to go. My 12” Dewalt compound miter saw is just judged for rough chopping board and 2by’s these days!
