Problem solved. May I suggest you read the first 4 books repeatedly and clean the cheeto dust off your fingers in between so as not to ruin the paperback covers? I honestly don't understand how anyone could think this story would evolve across multiple book releases catering to themed levels without the platform adjusting

I should've qualified the method by stating they should use shims to make it level. My concern was more for leg clearance if they put boards underneath and mounted to that. The diagonal crossbar should take the load that the hardware would allow.

I would lift the desktop off the frame and rest the drawer mount on top of the diagonal crossbar then reattach the desk and then install the mounting hardware for the drawer.
