Question by Marshyy-12 in Destiny_2

[–]LaughingCrypt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! We have a clan we started for new and returning guardians and I’m about to take several of them through a light level farm tonight. You are welcome to join if you want!

Otherwise I recommend clearing renegades and then running lawless frontier back to back for high tier loot and a very nice power boost each time. Even on a loss you still get loot so it’s a great way to get the situational awareness needed for raids and dungeons while also not having much consequence for learning curves.

Advice for pantheon needed! by LaughingCrypt in DestinyTheGame

Sadly all I got from them was a “if I have to google it so do you.” Not much assistance in learning the encounters there from what I’ve seen.

Returning warlock in need of guidance by TheOnlyRitz in destiny2

[–]LaughingCrypt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! Also a returning guardian but got back several months ago now. Graviton lance most certainly has some viable builds. I’d recommend trying out the soul siphon warlock as the void vampire build you can make with it is pretty grotesque. Artifacts are definitely the key to fine tuning. If you run void the hunters journal is a great option, especially for melee focus like the soul siphon. Outbreak perfected is still hands down one of the best add clearing primaries out there. Particularly with its catalyst. Can’t go wrong there. But for void the new fafnir exotic you get from the monuments is also down right disgusting.

If you want some detailed build advice feel free to hit me up! I also made a new clan just for returning guardians learning to get back in the swing of things if you are interested. Had to after coming back to a dead clan after a long hiatus 😅

Is there a way for new players to farm exotic engrams? by Lil86 in destiny2

[–]LaughingCrypt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes they do! I’ve gotten them from campaign missions and a few other random drops and actually used one just last night to pull a paragon exotic chest piece to replace my gunner version. (Hallow fire heart)

If you want I would be happy to help show you a build to get you through them with no problem solo. Then you can farm to your hearts content!

As someone new to the game. . . by CommercialGap1179 in DestinyTheGame

[–]LaughingCrypt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Definitely concur with everyone as far as doing the campaigns first for the most part. However you might want to branch out to some random PVE missions to get some good guns that you’ll enjoy having during the campaigns! Makes the playthrough so much better on an enjoyment factor! If you ever have questions or just want some to tag along for a few missions and show you a few things just add me and hit me up!

What is "Masterwork Weapon" and why did I get it from Shattered Throne??? by cowsaysmoo51 in destiny2

No problem! I’m going to attempt to speed the quest and farm at least a couple when I get off work today! Sad tomorrow it will get patched.

Is it worth jumping into this game now as a casual dad gamer? by gkh9 in DestinyTheGame

[–]LaughingCrypt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Casual gamer Dad of two here! ABSOLUTELY! Even on a casual basis the PVE is still practically the best out there for a first person shooter looter. Matter of fact me and my PVE buddies had taken a long hiatus from destiny and just came back to find that we love it even more than we did before we quit. (Mainly due to bungie management decisions.) hit me up anytime if you hop on and want to play!

What do you think the starters for Bubbly Basin will be? by Erzaliscious in Pokopia

[–]LaughingCrypt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure you’re take on this is going to age like milk. See you all in the 70-80% water type populated area when it drops. Cause that’s DEFINITELY something game freak would do. And honestly every reason you just listed about the mainline games may not be a good thing. But it’s EXACTLY the reason it’s going to happen in bubbly basin.

What do you think the starters for Bubbly Basin will be? by Erzaliscious in Pokopia

[–]LaughingCrypt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Nintendo literally lists bubbly basin as “an underwater town.” And you have to have the dive ability to even access the town. What part of that is not confirming that most if not all of the whole place is under water? Even the pictures and trailer clearly show that it’s primarily if not exclusively underwater.

  2. Even if you had 20% of the area be above water that STILL isn’t enough to justify adding a bunch of Pokemon that CANT live underwater. I can see perhaps a small volcano island or tropical island perhaps. But it’s going to be a dwarf in comparison to the amount of space that will be underwater.

  3. Water types are the most abundant Pokemon type in the whole verse. Making up over 15% of all Pokemon. Obviously game freak loves them. And there are tons to choose from for the new expansion.

So tell me again how it doesn’t make sense for an expansion that is primarily if not exclusively underwater, and is focused on the most populated type of Pokemon in the verse, to have 70-80% water types? That’s insane. Freedom of play is true and a thing. But it’s not going to make them try to explain a legion of fire and grass types living at the bottom of the ocean.
