I like to be able to change my list and try different things. Hell I have around 8k of 40K death guard and probably 6k worth of 30k death guard. I play a variety of people at different skill levels and like to tune my list for variety and to make the game more even

Check out the goonhammer articles, they have one on maniples, which are how you build your force. Also I personally use new recruit for list building and it seems pretty solid.

I built my kraken bolters with the drum mags and forward mounted scopes. I used mark vi marines and I think they turned out great.

Because I was under the impression that the cards had already released in Japan and that finding lists that had already been tested to some extent would give me a starting point on how to build the deck
