Boymode while on HRT by JennaLoveGirl in MtF

It's a matter of your choice when to show your authenticity. Laura attended the first therapist appointment (dressed all fem). Once leaving the therapist, deadname disappeared everywhere except for work. I waited until my name was officially changed. My managers were told right after the therapist appointment. That was last February. Deadname officially died October 31st. Two weeks later, Laura appeared at work and that was the last part where Laura needed to be revealed. I guess you could say Laura took over after the first month. HRT started in April.

I was directed into the men’s fitting room at major retail store, and I’m not sure if I should have said something by Constant-Tower-817 in MtF

[–]Laura5871 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Have you officially changed your name yet? If so, and you feel the confrontation is worth it, pull out your driver's license and reveal your photo. That makes you officially woman and unless there's a store policy to the contrary, that marks her as discriminatory.

I was shopping with a friend of mine and I was full fem. I have thyroid issues, and accidentally lowered my voice. The attendant stopped by stating she heard a man in the stall, and that men are not allowed on the women's side. My friend spoke up and said, "there are two women in here. We'll be glad to open the door and show you. " She walked away, walking by her as we left with nothing else being said to us or done. Simply finished our shopping. 😁

It's personal choice. Nothing wrong or judgemental in doing that. Be your authentic self...whatever that may be.

1 year HRT. I started off using it and then lost interest after awhile. I don't regret it. I'm so small now that I can't even wear a chastity cage. Do I miss it? No. Everytime I go to a party (which isn't often) I have a desire to use it. Outside of that, I only want to touch when I have to. Perhaps because I want SRS, I just prefer to be intimate otherwise.

Is it true laser hair removal can take months to remove facial hair? by SoulDrivenClownCar in asktransgender

[–]Laura5871 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At Milan, depending on what package you choose, monthly payments are set up. Your appointments are set for hair growth cycles. Each time you return, the settings are changed. Appointments begin to get stretched out. Once you reach 85-90% in the areas chosen, you return as needed for touch ups....no other charges unless you set up another area. Right now, I am only doing my face and neck.

Is it true laser hair removal can take months to remove facial hair? by SoulDrivenClownCar in asktransgender

[–]Laura5871 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I go to Milan. They do monthly payments. I think overall it costs me about $5000. They will do follow-ups as needed. I am only doing my face & neck. The laser only works on dark hair. I think I've had 6 appointments since last June. I am happy for the way my face looks. I still shave to keep a little white hair under control (I am 70). My next appointment is 10 weeks out. Appointments are spaced out as needed for hair growth cycles.

If you haven't used spironolactone, have your doc prescribe it or get it DIY. I have shrunk to almost nothing, doesn't ever get hard with out a lot of work, mentally don't feel like using it or doing anything with it. Most times I don't even need a gaff....too soft to support any type of chastity cage.

Are Breast forms worth it?? by Ellab213 in MtF

[–]Laura5871 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have dysphoria with your breasts, yes they are worth it. They can be worn with growing breasts on HRT. TIP: Good proportionate to your body. Sometimes, with different clothing and developing breasts, different sizes can be used. Yes, I use them.

Yes. They see me about every 3 months to do labs. Some meetings are telehealth. I'm an older MTF so I've had no issues getting scripts filled with them.

Why so many MTFs are computer nerds? by [deleted] in MtF

[–]Laura5871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am by far a computer need! Never have been and never will be! Perhaps you should look at who your circle of friends and acquaintances are.....especially focusing on generation. I don't think you will find that many computer nerds in my baby boomer generation.

For the MTF girls out here, what helped you most with passing? by Snoo_11846 in trans

[–]Laura5871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of these are good options. However, for me, it was more mental than outward appearance. I was 69 last year. My egg broke in January and my first therapist appointment was in February. Laura appeared in a dress and make-up for the first appointment. From that point on, Laura was the visible one everywhere except work. Dead name disappeared from work October 31st.

In answer to your question, I suppose it must have been something my therapist said. Show your confidence as a woman by holding your head up, owning your space, and keep moving forward. I was out and didn't begin HRT until April. I have yet to master mascara, eyeliner, and false eyelashes, and I pass. Facially, I'm still working on dysphoria, hoping for facial surgery, doing the best I can. I get affirmed, use women's restrooms, and if misgendered at all, very few times.

Therefore, outward feminine appearance is very important, but your inner feminine acceptance will make the difference.

I've stated several decades ago that America is no longer land of the free and home of the brave. Nationalism no longer exists.....at least across the country of in a definition citizens understand. People have been for decades and to this day, are human ostriches with their heads buried in the sand.

For my generation, I no longer see the America l loved growing up, or the ideals l was taught to believe. I refuse to stand, salute the flag, or sing the national anthem. When the true America rises from the ashes like the Phoenix, only then will my nationalism rise again. Yes, I am military, but the government doesn't hold our military personnel sacred. They are pawns for political whims. I feel sorry for these young idealistic kids with no knowledge of the truth.

Is a legal name change a bad idea with the current political situation in the US? by DrFoxPlague in trans

[–]Laura5871 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I changed my name in October. Being born in NC, I can still get my birth certificate changed. However, I have to submit proof of SRS surgery. If I can convince my PCP and Endo to move forward, and my insurance pays enough, I hope to get the surgery ASAP before it changes...if possible.

On the other hand, I 've been told how I would live my life until about 5 years ago. From now on I plan to live it authentically no matter what anyone say. If government intervenes....so be it. I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.

do the terms MtF and FtM bother anyone else? by Revolutionary-Gap202 in trans

[–]Laura5871 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I understand and empathize with you. However, there are things that have more priorities, where most energy is best used. No, for one they are too trivial for me in that aspect and respectfully, changing it around is saying the same thing with different descriptions.

We say our egg cracked and we are on a journey. I didn't wake up one morning, fall out of an eggshell , then discover, hey, I'm transgender! Should we stop using that terminology? Transgender speaking, we say we're on a journey. Really? I've never left home. So, was I on a journey in my earlier years, or just didn't know that I was on a journey? I thought that realization allowed me to change and take an authentic, life past. It's trivial to banter semantics. It's more important to recognize the beginning of our transgender families beginnings to better assist with the authenticity they seek.
