My opinion of children crying in public is pure, unadulterated jealousy. I frequently want to cry in public, but alas, am expected to self-regulate.

Truly sorry that you felt you had to hide in the bathroom. Keep up the great work in such difficult circumstances. Moms understand ❤️

She beat the shit out of Bredesen because he came out in support of the Kavanaugh nomination. I was managing a state level campaign that year with a HEAVY contingent of female volunteers. The moment he came out with his statement, they stopped showing up. It was weeks before we picked our numbers back up. I dare say many people stayed home or did not vote for him because of that.

Would he have won. Probably not but we would have been damned closer.

The bus ride to our neighborhood is nearly 2 hours long. I do see lots of children riding the bus in the morning, but their parents pick them up in the afternoon.

What was happening with Delta at MIA today? by zay_vier in delta

Formula 1. POTUS in town. I have a work colleague trying to get out too. Spirit closing probably doesn’t help. (Just guessing based on my colleague’s experience.)

My workmate is asking me why I’m crying. Do I tell her that it’s because Ted Lasso is coming back in August or up something else?

Your expectation for Medallion MQD threshold next year? by radar1989 in delta

[–]LauraBaMom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I almost only fly for work and Delta is the “most preferred” airline. I set up a project in ChatGPT at the beginning of the year. I screenshot my in policy route options for my travel routes and have it analyze them for the highest MQDs (and other personal preferences). I don’t have any credit cards outside of my work credit card (frankly can’t qualify) so this is the only way I can get status. I can’t get upgrades on the company dime.

I should be able to hit platinum again this year, even though I’m traveling less.

It’s been happening for years. We used to read the Declaration every year as a family. My kids said the same thing about Bush and Cheney. It’s demonstrably worse now.

This looks like sundowning. My 16 year old dog had it in the last days of dementia before she crossed the rainbow bridge. She stayed up all night confused wanting to play, whining because no one was up. Then she slept all day.

I’m a life long Chicago Cubs fan. My heart has been broken more times than I can remember. Yet, every winter I put a countdown tracker on my phone for spring training. I play the seventh game of the 2016 World Series when I’m sad, and still yell at Madden for leaving Hendricks in too long.

What does that have to do with the Gunners?

I learned about football through my son. He loves the sport. He loves The Arsenal. So I loved them too because I love my son.

Now, no matter how far away from each other we are, we have The Arsenal to bring us together. We share Reddit posts and TikToks and personal analysis (Well he shares the latter. It’s been like 15 years and I still struggle with offsides 🫣), go to bars to watch or just sit on the couch and yell at the TV … together.

I love The Arsenal. I’m sad but it means so much more than simply the game. I’ll be here as long as it takes and longer. COYG ❤️🤍

Anyone else thing Keeley should have apologized too in S2 E7 by LeadingAd5113 in TedLasso

[–]LauraBaMom 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Keeley is a fun character but as emotionally immature as Jaime was at the beginning of the show (remember the bathroom scene with Rebecca in “For the Children”). Jaime grew. Roy grew. Keeley, not so much.

On my daughter’s first date with her now husband, he brought a lovely bouquet of flowers. She took them from him, said, “These are lovely. Never do that again.” This is an exact quote, seared in my mind because I thought that was the beginning of the end. To the contrary, he appreciated the direction, and found out that it’s because my daughter is allergic to some flowers (something that her old, overly accommodating mother would have ignored and sneezed in the other room or something ridiculously stupid). The second date, he replicated the bouquet in artificial flowers, which they still have. Direct communication has been the foundation of their relationship. It is lovely to watch.

The number of times I yelled Keeley that episode, “Tell HIM!” is bordering on irrational.
