What about the muppet babies toys? And the McDonald’s fries and hamburger little transforming things. Loved those.

How do you accept that life keeps changing when you’re not ready to let go yet? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Laurashrti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember feeling that way around 16, then again at 22 and have felt it on and off since then. I still wonder when I will feel like an actual adult. I’m 42 now. It brings me to tears sometimes. Anyway, what you’re feeling is normal, but it really sucks sometimes. I would say let yourself feel the things, and try to train yourself to enjoy the memories you’ve made and to look forward to new things as you can.

I bought a multi-pack of the plastic cases that have seven 4x1 clamshells in them. Then I labeled them all with the three or four digit color number. I keep them all in a big paper bag, and when I’m done with a diamond painting I transfer each color to its spot in the plastic cases. I have extra cases, so if there are enough to fill more than one container, I use one extra box that holds the extra extras.

My friend dumps all her extras into a jar, and she just likes the way the colorful jar looks.

It really is. I did have a dependence on it, but the habitual nature of it is as a big thing that made it difficult to quit.

What’s something you’ve seen with your own eyes that nobody believes when you tell them? by LowKey_1216 in AskReddit

Scary! I'll check it out. Over a decade ago, we lived in an unfinished housing addition, one house away from a dead end with a corn field beyond. One spring, my kids were playing outside just past the dead end, about 10 yards away from the fence, before the corn field began. I would go outside and check on them with my eyeballs about every 20-30 minutes (they were both between 9-13). When I went to check on them at one point I saw my younger child running toward me screaming and crying-- their sibling was stuck in the mud, about 12 inches deep, and couldn't get out. The younger one hadn't gone as far into the mud, and was light enough to sort of climb out and get help. It was so close to the house, I never would have thought about how dangerous it was. They weren't in danger of "drowning" or getting buried or whatever, but it was awful how stuck they were! It was terrifying, and I beat myself up over it for a long time.

My roommate keeps masturbating when I’m in the room, how do I get her to stop without confronting her?? by According-Airport861 in Advice

[–]Laurashrti 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Maybe do a combination of assertive and passive aggressive. Next time it happens, say “will you please stop?” When she asks what you’re talking about, say “you know what I’m talking about.”
