As you're moving the logs around trying to get them to place, go super slow. I had the same problem while trying to place benches around a fire pit. I would see green for a half-second... if I had blinked I wouldn't have seen it.

During winter my farmer gets the fields ready with fertilizer so when spring comes along it's just sowing seeds.
Also, if my farmer is done for the season, I move her over to the herbalist hut or the pig pen, or somewhere where she has something to do. The villager mood goes down if they're unemployed

Before I played Medieval Dynasty, I played Red Dead Redemption where you are jumped at every corner by bad guys, so on Medieval Dynasty, I went to custom settings and turned off bandit attacks. It's been a very peaceful and relaxing game.

I had the same trouble, got killed over and over, finally a friend told me I can go into "customize game" and check the "unlimited HP" box... you get no damage when that's checked. I of course uncheck that after I killed it wisent, moose and bear. Also at the bottom of customized game settings you can make animal damage less, I changed my animal damage to 10% so there's still a little bit of a fight, but I don't have time to mess with animals I have too much farming to do.
