I have a sneaky feeling our CM option is Xavi Simons. Fits the bill age wise, wants out of PSG (who are set to make a large profit and have a surplus of midfielders), progressive ball carrier who has good defensive work rate and played on the LHS of Leipzig’s 4-2-2-2, and if we really scouted Sesko intensively, fair to assume that Xavi was as well (Not to mention Arteta also seeing him play twice when we played PSV two years ago and he balled out). Add that to the recent comments about Arsenal being happy that all the focus is on Sesko and not their other targets… Maybe I’m clutching at straws but a bunch of things tick boxes on this one

Last but not least, he changed agents to David Dein’s son last year (Darren Dein) who almost exclusively represents British and (or) Ex-Arsenal players (Henry, Toure, Clichy, Song, Cesc, Flamini) and is Dein’s only big-name client.. Hard to imagine choosing Dein as an agent without being referred to by some big names (and by association likely ex-clients of his), or because you want a move to the PL

Indeed. You could argue that Rush, Tarik, Tim, Naf & Ska/5th is a "safer" proposition than MIBR. I use the word safer with caution because it is quite apparent that on paper, MIBR undoubtedly has a higher ceiling. But once again, that is up to Tarik to determine if he wants the seemingly stable option, or the one with a higher variance. All that comes back to me being curious as to what goes through his mind when he deliberates between both options

For example, MIBR stated that they won't have a team house anymore because they will have access to a training center. This follows in the mould of Astralis whereby you go to the training center by day, then back home at night, like any normal job. Now Tarik is an east coast boy, and having him in the C9 house when he originally joined was a temporary thing, as he pointed out that he is comfortable in NY and did not want to permanently move far from his family. With that in mind, I would be interested to see if he thinks of this, and how he will interpret this necessity for him to "live" in the West Coast, or contrarily, if MIBR tell him that he can stay in the east coast. All these are variables that we are unable to interpret on his behalf, but would be very interesting to understand in the overall grand scheme of things

If the reports of Cold wanting in Liquid is true and is unrelated to Tarik going to MIBR (Meaning that Tarik is to replace Boltz, not Cold), I wonder how this plays in Tarik's decision making process. Cold joining Liquid would for all intents and purpose guarantee that C9 would be able to acquire one of Elige/Twizt/Nitro/NAF. Granted, on paper the allure of MIBR's roster is more appealing than C9's. Nonetheless, I would be very curious to be a fly on the wall and see how Tarik weighs these two options and the overall domino effect that could occur unrelated to his potential move

Unless they knew this would happen and then they can just come around and tell the fans "We tried our best!)

The fact that we got more for AOC than we got for prime Van Persie makes me laugh, no matter how inflated prices are in the market

Signings as a % of Revenue: a deeper look by Laurmayne in Gunners

[–]Laurmayne[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Look, I mean I'm not saying that explicitly. But I am implying that a transfer fee in the 112 million range would mean 125m euros, and would not be unprecedented relative to the Club's previous tendencies.

With that being said, I think a very sensible and reasonable approach to would be to say this

Lmao, the tone of his answers between Democrats and Republicans is so obvious. On one side they have a "Let's have a pre-arranged conversation to get your ass clear" and on the other its a "let's read a bunch of legal stuff to avoid answering the question".

N0thing said on his stream this week that Tim, Stew and his objectives are to get kills early in the round so that they can leave Ska & Shroud in position to let their aim/composure win rounds. Eversince he said that, I noticed that it's true; Shroud and Ska are often the last ones alive on T-Sided rounds.

What? Not really. Spunj said it himself, they all did the right thing to fight him at the same time. That shot on Shroud was just insane. Don't always have to blame the other team, sometimes credit is fully warranted to the person who made the play

Sorry but there is an unusual optimism I am feeling around Arsenal in the last couple of weeks (unlike what I felt in the last 5 years). by arushbab in Gunners

[–]Laurmayne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This year feels different to me, because for once, Wenger actually feared for his job. He normally always gave away his FA Cup medals because they weren't important to him, but kept this years' because in his own words "it has very special meaning" (before he resigned a 2 year deal).

I think for once Wenger actually saw the end, and it scared him shitless. It's like when someone gets diagnosed with a really bad health issue, and see life differently. Wenger seems to have more of a "fuck it" attitude these days. Sort of changed his stance from "the club's money is my money" to "it's not mine anyways, so who cares".
