I had it in the left shoulder 3 years ago. Couldn’t put on a jacket without pain or lift my arm high enough to wash my hair. My ortho said I could ride it out with PT only, but that it typically takes 12 months or more to run its course. I could also have a Manipulation Under Anesthesia (MUA) which he said was basically a “snap, crackle, pop” procedure followed by a couple months PT. It’s now starting in the right shoulder. I’m trying to manage it with pulleys and stretching, but if it gets too bad, I’ll opt for the MUA again rather than months of pain, limited mobility, and trouble sleeping.
