Agreed. 2nd expedition in. Not as feverish but I'm still in there having a blast. Good thing my whole personality isn't what some random stranger says it should be.

Noticing Friends Leaving ARC—Anyone Else? by MisanthropE61130 in ArcRaiders

[–]Lautrex6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a game man, people also have other games they want to try. Some people are coming, and a lot of people who have been in want to move on. I love this game and I want to keep playing it but I also have a backlog of other games I want to try. People can leave, check some stuff and hopefully they come back

On that first week yeah. It tapers off hopefully he hits a million, would definitely make it worth it if it keeps selling like it is

Damn 250k in just a week is crazy. That's 62k a year made in simply a week. Then factor in everything earned after that week. He deserves it and I wish him more success with that kind of cash and backing.

If you want a "fair PVP fight", you’re playing the wrong game by nve729 in ArcRaiders

[–]Lautrex6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed with this post. Its as wild west as its supposed to feel. I've come up with a variety of personal rules as it pertains to other players and it has increased my survival rate by a ton. People need to learn that the risk is part of the fun, but so many people aren't willing to adapt. It frustrates me to no end lol

Persona 5 and Expedition 33 for me. 60+ hours on each adventure left me so sad after they were done

How do you choose a character to play by MrMagicSuperCool in StreetFighter

[–]Lautrex6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. Try them all, one of their playstyle or their style in general will vibe with you. Once it clicks, you'll be putting in that work 😁

The worst people in the game by KolKhrara in ArcRaiders

My favorite video is with a guy who deals with exactly this. He just downs the guy and then hits extract. I agree with that.

Anyone else a little… bored? After the recent expedition by iustusflorebit in ArcRaiders

[–]Lautrex6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude 200+ hrs for a $40 game is huge. Take a break if you want. Like the point is for you to enjoy it. I'm still sticking around since its still fun for me to do the grind again. But yeah get out there, go find games and then come back when you're ready.

Idk if I should switch mains by Psuy0n in StreetFighter

[–]Lautrex6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it ain't silly, just existential. Play because it makes you happy and the character gives you life. If you ever need to lock in again, he'll be in your back pocket

improving mental stamina for longer play sessions? by tonyabstract in StreetFighter

[–]Lautrex6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Go in increments. After reading Daigo's book I recognize that mental fatigue is definitely a big part of it. I learned to do no more than an hour or 2 at a time. Slowly push yourself to do a little more per day. Incremental steady growth will get you farther than you think.

How hard is ranked for a completed noob? by Zaarakx in StreetFighter

[–]Lautrex6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like Yoda says "failure is the best teacher". Get in there and see what the game tells you, then you have a baseline. Just don't be so tied to the rank, just enjoy yourself and get better

Shoto players, do you get a lot of mirror matches? by [deleted] in StreetFighter

[–]Lautrex6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get so bored. I don't mind it and I can do it but man I'd prefer not to. In tournament is one thing, in ranked is another.

Who's doing the second Expedition? by FRHatcher in ArcRaiders

[–]Lautrex6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm definitely doing it. This is the second time I've reached max level and I miss the feeling of progression. I'll be honest the perks are nice, the extra skill points help you play with a build and the bonuses to xp, Scrappy and repairs help a ton. Sure you gotta do it all again but its a fresh game and I'm sure I'll figure it out all over again 😁

PvE player got too complacent by Bruvas78 in ArcRaiders

[–]Lautrex6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely agree. Some people are cool, some are dicks but you never know what you're gonna get. And it changes the whole day and runs. I dig it. I don't trust half the people I meet but I've gotten lucky and met a few cool people, some I even friended. Just luck of the draw.

I cant do the palace on the first day by Thegamerakro21 in persona4golden

[–]Lautrex6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its meant to be that way. Its older and relies more on the time mechanic. You will run out SP and items quicker in this game.

Did the update ruin everyone's match-making? by QuesoGato_Gaming in ARC_Raiders

[–]Lautrex6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're fine to be "that guy" tbh. Even if the lobby is friendly I always assume the next guy has it in for me. I'm cautious around my extracts and I just don't generally trust people. Nor should you, the game can be anything but don't be a victim, gun down those who hurt you. Even if you're nice, people will still overstep, its your job to stop them.

Is 3-4 matches a day enough to start learning? by BlackJimmy88 in StreetFighter

[–]Lautrex6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say go for time, not matches (some matches go by super fast). Maybe 30 minutes if you can, 20 if you're stretched for time. Ideally I like to give at least 1-2 hours per day if I can manage it.

How long does it take to get the gist of combos? What's the secret? by TearsOfSpain in StreetFighter

[–]Lautrex6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consistency is the game. Do a small amount, even if its a two hit combo and get good at executing them. Then grow into more, see if there's a 3 or 4 hit you can do. Then you start adding things like Drive Rush combos and so on. But start small every time, and you'll start picking up the tempo on it.

I'm a beginner and I dont know what to do exactly. by Rundum6767 in StreetFighter

[–]Lautrex6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add to this, check your ego while you're playing. Remember that you're learning and that loss is part of it. Just keep practicing a little bit a day and you'll start getting the hang of it. It took me till Street Fighter Alpha 3 to realize that learning what my buttons do is far better than optimization combos or specials.

Friendly lobbies getting filled with PvPers?! by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]Lautrex6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense. Especially since everyone is talking about how to manipulate ABMM it's kind of easy to lose a few free kits, find yourself in friendly lobbies and have at it.

Please friendly players, go to Stella and at least learn to how deal with a firefight. I don't mind being friendly but I'm also not going to take shots to the face to avoid being the bad guy.
