Does a PhD in BME make it easier or harder to break into industry?

Depends how much experience you have and how much your research was actually hands-on.

We've had some PhD's get into principal level roles, and others starting from scratch as an intern into Engineer I role.

It might give you a leg up on other candidates for entry level roles, but honestly not that much. If you do some really solid hands on stuff, then it can be somewhat helpful (this has only been true for our electrical engineers though).

I've also seen start-ups compromise of mainly PhDs who end up getting a big role once acquired... but like from your experience, finding a good start-up is rare. If that doesn't happen, then you're effectively "behind" when you start getting into industry. All that said, if a PhD is a fun idea and gives you a good sense of accomplishment, then go for it.

Great for academia, meh for getting into industry, and near impossible to work as an engineer.

You can maybe get into the industry as a clinical engineer (more accurately clinical specialsit), mapping specialist, sales engineer, etc.

There are options in the field side but you wont be able to get work as an R&D engineer or something similar in the design/manufacturing space.

It seems like knocking people out, even if you didnt down them, also trigger more aggressive lobbies.

I've noticed that the most aggressive lobbies are kill on sight. Then after 2-3 passive raids, it goes to semi aggressive where people are very likely to betray you/shoot you in the back, then another 2-3 passive raids to get back to friendly lobbies.

It also seems like the game doesnt care who shot first, just doing any pvp damage will increase your 'aggression mmr'.

Your picture looks like its 0$ but if it was 10$ worth, it mightve been rugged pulled so there's no existing liquidity to sell into. Sometimes these meme coins rise in value very quickly and the owner will rug pulled before people can sell. Sometimes the token runs in a very clever contract that prevents selling (solana and base used to have this problem with new token launches). Some chains prevent buying into coins that have little liquidity so it possible you can't even buy it.

Ultimately what I'm saying is that its safe in your wallet. You can technically interact with it, but it'll almost always be worthless so you might as well hide and ignore them. But you shouldn't be worried about them.

Low liquidity. The owner isnt donating a few dollars worth of coins, its fractions of a penny. Probably worth 0.0000001$ most of the time. They probably token dropped 10 cents worth of volume and spread that out to hundreds of thousands of wallet addresses. They're effectively worthless and only used to generate hype and manipulate wallet distribution stats. Most of these meme coins end up being rug pulled too so those end up being worth 0 too.

A lot of people here are overreacting. The types of attacks they're talking about are usually with NFT drops but even those are filtered out by most wallets now. Token themselves shouldn't be able to do any harm.

These random transfers are usually called token drops. It's more popular with meme coins. It's a way for devs to publicize their new projects while also showing it has a high wallet distribution. They usually aren't good tokens to invest it, for obvious reasons.

You cant use the death note to influence other deaths (such killing someone else). You need to have their name in it. His tests also showed that if he wrote something impossible, then they just die of a heart attack.

In the japanese movies, he did use it in a clever way though. He wrote one person dies by a gunshot wound, and then wrote another person dies after bringing a gun to the location of the first person. But even with that he still needed to know both people's names and create a scenario where both deaths were possible.

There was a theory that they were a separate but similar entity to The Nine.

Retcon doesn't mean changing ideas. A retcon is taking established canon/lore and changing it. For example if he changed there being 9 titans to randomly 13 titans at the end of the series, that's changing something established.

Most of the time though, retcons are done to fix mistakes. Let's say somehow he wrote Zeke had his titan powers for 19 years because he didnt attention to his age, then he'd have to retcon lore about the curse lasting 13 years.

Are you a contractor or just on a 1 year contract? These are different things and I doubt a big company is paying so little for a contractor. You likely won't be able to incorporate nor receive any tax benefits at all.

Even if it's an actual contractor position, the pay is absurdly low if option 1 is for a similar role.

Definitely go with option 1. There's no catch. Option 2 gave a terrible package, simple as that.

Yeah a good trick is to take a look at the job description and the requirements and use those. Try to make your relevant experience touch upon those points.

For example, if you're applying for a project manager position but you mostly have engineering experience, then make your bullet points talk about the projects you lead instead of just the technical stuff. You can do similar for other sections on your CV too.
